Today we were so lucky to have Grandma and PaPa from Beekeepers Townsville come and visit us. 🐝
Grandma share some special knowledge about bees, including how we can care for them.
Miss Sev put on the bee keepers hat and showed us how this protects us from stinging bees!

Literacy in Toddlers!
Miss Mel read Brown Bear, Brown Bear aloud to the toddlers. 🐻
As Miss Mel progressed through the story, she added the felt characters to the board giving a visual representation of each character in the story.
Yarning Circles also build so much excitement and enthusiasm for learning in the younger rooms!

Literacy in Kindy!
In Kindy we have been exploring our Educators’ favourite books! Miss Narn and Miss Capri love Room on the Broom (by Julia Donaldson)!
📚 Miss Capri read the story to us during a Yarning Circle.
We then challenged our thinking to remember who made it onto the broom and followed this with a craft to see if there was ‘room on the broom for little old me.’
✋ We also used our hands to thread beads onto the broomsticks!
Nice job Kindy on making literacy engaging!

Healthy Harold visited Sunrise Kids today and spent time with Pre-Kindy and Kindy children.
The topic today was Harold’s big feelings.
