We are sad to announce that due to our lease with the Defence being unable to be renewed we will be closing our doors at the end of this year.

We would like to thank all our past and present families for all your support over the last 64 years.

End of an era, what a journey!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

La Luna recently visited Blue Skies to teach us circus tricks. We had lots of fun learning to use the trick sticks and spinning plates, practicing tumbling and using the circus hoops.

We then changed our pretend play area into a circus. It is lots of fun.

Happy Father's Day Dad! Our presents are wrapped and ready to give Dad during our Father's Day play and sausage sizzle lunch.

Exciting news! Kelly from Bunnings visited us this week to set up our worm farm. We learnt lots about worms. Did you know they don't have a mouth - they absorb their food through their body.

Kelly also brought lots of other goodies including 3 flower beds and a variety of seeds for us to plant. Thank you Bunnings for your generosity. We are so lucky!

We will set up the garden beds this weekend at our working bee so that we can begin planting on Tuesday.

We are looking forward to our Father's Day play and sausage sizzle lunch on Thursday August 29th.

La Luna Youth Arts are visiting over the next 2 weeks to conduct 2 circus manipulation sessions - we are so excited!

It has been a while since we have posted onto Facebook but we have been busy playing, learning and having fun with our friends.

We recently transformed our dress up area into a pirate ship and have been learning about maps. We know that maps can show us how to get somewhere and had fun making our own maps.

We had lots of fun making our pirate ship and pretending to be pirates - using treasure maps to find hidden treasure, making pirate hats, playing pirate games and having a group treasure hunt.

We made a group map of Townsville and added some of the landmarks we know about including Mt. Stuart, Castle Hill, The Strand, Cowboys stadium and Ross River. We added the suburbs we live in and Burdell has the most children living there. We also made a group collage of our houses with our house number on it.

The Police visited us to talk about staying safe and what to do if we get lost at the shops etc. We looked at the police car and learnt about places where the Police work including the Show, Cowboys games, V8's schools and festivals.

We recently purchased 2 new play mats - a number mat and a dinosaur fossil mat - both have enhanced our play.
