The P&C are once more holding our annual Father's Day stall, and we need your help. The stall will be open before school and during both break times on Tues 1 Sept, Wed 2 Sep and Thurs 3 September. This year, our Year 12 students have chosen Mummy’s Wish as the beneficiary of our annual Charity Benefit Concert.

Mummy’s Wish provides practical and emotional support to Australian families when a mum is diagnosed with cancer, helping families manage the enormous impact that cancer treatment can have on everyday life.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Sienna for her submission on her budgie Marshmallow into the The Percival Animal Portrait competition at Perce Tucker Gallery.

The Percivals is an open competition showcasing the outstanding and innovative work being produced by Australian artists. The competition has given many emerging artists an opportunity to engage with portraiture and share their expressions of themselves and those close to them.

The exhibition is currently being exhibited until 30 August.

What a fantastic Cricket Gala Day for the PSHS Open Boys team!

The boys put together an outstanding performance, going undefeated across all three games and earning three bonus points along the way. We finished the day as runners-up, with the result decided by the number of sixes hit throughout the competition. The boys finished with an incredible 16 sixes, falling just one six short of the winning school!

- Standout batting performances came from Elijah Smith and Koby Fraser, who both retired after scoring impressive 50s.
- Outstanding bowling performances from Elijah Smith, Tommy Bennett, Finn Hasties and Jaylen Mitchell-Hill helped the team maintain their unbeaten record throughout the day.
- Catch of the Day goes to Emmett Campbell, who showed incredible awareness and determination. After a teammate dropped a catch, Emmett ran in to support and somehow managed to take the rebound out of nowhere! A close second goes to Jaylen Mitchell-Hill for an incredible one-handed catch.

A huge thank you to our fantastic supporters, Dylan Furnell and Elizabeth Smith, as well as our old scholars Thomas Wilkie and Max Durso, for getting behind the team throughout the day.

An outstanding effort from the entire PSHS Open Boys team. Undefeated, competitive and just one six away from taking the title!

🏀 2026 CBSQ SHIELD 🏀

Championship Basketball School Queensland. It is the biggest school basketball event in Queensland, Australia, featuring over 500 teams from school years 5 to 12 across major, shield, wild card, and regional tournaments.

Our very own Pimlico team had an epic 4 days with 7 huge games to play.

Day 1
Game 1: 32–46 loss
Game 2: 31–24 WIN!
After a great opening game, the team bounced back strongly in Game 2, showing plenty of fight, determination, and teamwork to secure the win.

Day 2
Game 1: 55–33 WIN! 💪
Game 2: 21–29 loss
The boys battled hard across both games, finishing Day 2 with another win on the board and plenty of positives to take into Day 3. And after a big day on the court, it was time to hit the pool for an afternoon swim and recovery session 🏊‍♂️ — recharging, resetting, and getting ready for another big day.

Day 3
Game 1: 44–55 loss
Game 2: 42–40 WIN!
The boys showed great resilience across both games, bouncing back after a tough first match to finish the day with a hard-fought win. With a big break between games, the team made the most of it heading down to the beach for some lunch and recovery time 🌊☀️ — a great chance to reset and enjoy the moment before getting back on court.

Day 4 - The final battle
What a way to finish our four-day CBSQ adventure! The boys came away with a 49–36 win in their final game, finishing the competition with 4 wins and 3 defeats and an impressive 13th overall placing! 👏🔥

Great work, boys! You should all be incredibly proud of the way you competed, supported each other, and represented the school. 💪🏀

And a huge congratulations to Mr Adams on his games as Head Coach for CBSQ. Thanks for your leadership and commitment throughout the competition! 👏
