Today at CubbyCare Mt Louisa, we wore yellow to show our support for Daffodil Day and help raise awareness for cancer research and support.

Our children and educators have brightened up the centre in yellow, learning about kindness, community and how we can all make a difference. 🌼💛

🌺 Celebrating Torres Strait Islander Culture at Cubby Care! 🌺

Last week we were so fortunate to welcome Nekina Whap to our service. 💙💚

Nekina shared her Torres Strait Islander culture through language, storytelling and meaningful cultural experiences.

We loved having the opportunity to learn more and explore ways we can continue to respectfully embed Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday learning and curriculum. 🌴🐚🌊

🌱✨ What is Kindy Uplift Funding? ✨🌱

You may have heard us talking about Kindy Uplift and wondered what it means!

Kindy Uplift funding provides additional support to eligible kindergarten programs to help strengthen learning outcomes and give children greater opportunities to thrive. 💛

The funding can support things such as:
📚 Additional educational resources and experiences
🎨 New learning materials and equipment
👩‍🏫 Professional learning, mentoring and support for educators
🌱 Experiences that support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
🤝 Stronger connections with families, community and other support services

For our Kindy team, this means access to additional training, resources and guidance that can be thoughtfully incorporated into our everyday program based on the needs and interests of our children.

We’re excited to make the most of this opportunity and continue creating engaging, meaningful and inclusive learning experiences for our Kindy children! 🌟

Today our educators and little learners traded their usual outfits for their favourite jeans to support Jeans for Genes Day! 🧬✨

It was a great opportunity to talk with the children about being kind, caring for others and celebrating what makes each of us unique. 🌈

A big thank you to our wonderful families and educators for getting involved and helping us make a difference — one pair of jeans at a time! 👖💙

🍓🍉 Fresh fruit… but make it dramatic! 😂

Our little taste testers gave us a full range of reviews from “YUM!” 😍 to “What is THAT?!” 🤨

The funny faces were priceless, but every little bite is helping build healthy habits and adventurous eaters. ❤️🍎

Who knew a strawberry or a slice of banana could create such award-winning facial expressions? 🤣

🦷✨ Dental Health Week in Pre Kindy! ✨🦷

Our Pre Kindy children have been busy learning all about caring for their teeth through a fun fine motor activity! 🪥🎨

Using toothbrushes and washable markers, the children practised “cleaning” the teeth by brushing away the pen marks. This hands-on experience helped strengthen their fine motor skills while reinforcing the importance of brushing our teeth every day to keep our smiles healthy and bright! 😁

Learning through play is always the best way to build healthy habits that last a lifetime. 🌟🦷

Coffee, snacks, and a whole lot of gratitude because let’s be honest, educators run on caffeine, kindness… and the occasional snacks☕🍪😂

Our team works incredibly hard every single day to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for our children, and today was just a small way of saying thank you.

Never underestimate the power of filling someone else’s cup. A little appreciation goes a long way, and when our educators feel valued, that positivity flows through to our children, families, and our entire centre.
