🖌️Dear Townsville Life Drawing Community 🎨

For the last year, I have been hosting Life Drawing in my humble little garden studio and I have absolutely loved doing so, and of course value all the connections that I have made in the last year through hosting and the many years prior as an attendee and model.

however it is with a really heavy heart that I have to share that I will not continue hosting in 2025 .
This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make.

However between raising young children, working fulltime, weather events and just trying to give this group the attention and consistency it requires and deserves, I am finding myself stretched too thin.

Life Drawing Townsville has been hosted by many beautiful creative souls over the many years it has been running, so I have no doubt someone new and wonderful will give this group life again, (maybe even me, just not at this stage in my career and family life),
If you are interested please reach out and I’ll happily help you set up.

I had hoped to share this news first in person on Sunday, unfortunately after the rain, the space is once again flooded.

Thank you everyone for understanding how difficult this decision has been and I ask for kindness instead of frustration ❤️

Hi All, due to personal reasons I’ve decided to not host life drawing tomorrow.
I need this weekend to be with my family after some not so great news was delivered earlier in the week.

Thankyou to my art friends for understanding.

Our next, and last session for the year is the 8th of December and will definitely be one worth attending ❤️

I forgot to share! Last weekend we had the lovely male model Melson , model for life drawing sesh.
It was a beautiful day too!
Apart from some very arrogant chickens that got put in timeout midway, it was a nice chill afternoon.
I tried a different style with my charcoal, but as always , really struggle drawing the male figure.. still had a crack though.. pun intended 😏

The people have spooken. Life drawing for everybody this Sunday November 3 2-5pm 218 upper Mikes Avenue Kelso. No experience necessary. All welcome $20. Bring all your own art making materials. Doors open 1.45pm. Preferably give yourself time to grab a space and set up before the model starts posing.
