HEAD OF THE RIVER - THIS SUNDAY!
The annual Head of the River will be hosted by Riverway Rowing Club this Sunday.
This event provides all Grammar rowers with an excellent opportunity to showcase their skills, and we wish every crew the very best in their races.
Of particular interest will be our 1st Eight, who will compete in the afternoon. The crew consists of Liam M (12/2026), Noah B (12/2026), Josie B (10/2026), Josh D (12/2026), Cameron M (11/2026), Max B (12/2026), Nicholas B-W (11/2026), Hugh S (10/2026), and Claudia G (10/2026) (Coxswain).
We encourage the Grammar community to head down to the river on Sunday and support our rowers as they proudly represent the Black & Gold.
Good luck, Grammar!

YEAR 6 CAMP
Our Year 6 students had the best time at camp!
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Outer Limits and the ever-supportive TGS teachers for creating such an incredible experience for our students. From abseiling and high ropes to archery, mountain biking and trivia nights, there was plenty of adventure, challenges and fun!
It was wonderful to see our students stepping outside their comfort zones. This was their final camp as Junior School students, and it was definitely one to remember!

Our Junior teams also impressed, with Grammar 4 - Keya P (9/2026) Tien C (9/2026) and Eloan D.V (9/2026) supported by Nainika P (9/2026) Anish S (9/2026) Moira B (9/2026) and Nikita G (9/2026) - narrowly missing the final by just one point.

CRICKET GALA DAYS
The Annual Interschool Cricket Gala Days are always a popular event in the Grammar Sport and Activities calendar and this year didn’t disappoint.
Last week, the School had 2 teams play in the Intermediate (Year 7, 8, 9) gala day, one team in the “A” division and one in the “B” division.
Our “B” Division team were “B” for “Brilliant”. Lead by Grammar cricket legend, Victoria M (9/2026), the team showed enormous improvement as the day progressed. Many of the students in this team had limited cricket experience, and it was a pleasure to watch their development as their confidence grew. It was great to see the students with cricket experience provide leadership and help where required. Standout performers were Sophie O (8/2026), Tim Y (9/2026), Shreyansh P (7/2026), and Nishchay M (8/2026).
Our “A” division team were simply outstanding. Guy A (9/2026) was almost unstoppable with the bat and was well supported by some clean hitting from Ed B (9/2026) and Lachlan V (9/2026). With the ball, Thomas J (9/2026) and Yash P (7/2026) with their spinners were hard to hit all day. The level of cricket played by this competitive teams was a joy to watch.
Our Senior Girls took to the field and once again were crowned as the “sprit” champions of the day. Highlight of the day was Grace K (10/2026) for getting a hat-trick against St Anthonys and also some big hitting with the bat from Zienna N (12/2026). Our girls cricket team really embody the spirit of getting in and having a go at something new, and the way they support their teammates is to be commended. There is rarely a dull moment when the Grammar girls are playing cricket.
A huge thank you to staff, Mr Andrew McKinnon, Mrs Veronica Horn, and volunteer parent, Mr Blaise Allen for coaching and providing such a wonderful experience for the students.
Well done to everyone involved.
