🌟 The Willows Warriors Pre-Prep Transition Program 🌟

🐐🐐🐐 🧌 Can you guess what our theme was today at Warriors? 🤔

Today, we stepped into the wonderful world of The Three Billy Goats Gruff! 🌉🐐 Mrs Tropea brought the story to life with an amazing acting performance — and we loved it! 🌟

Our Warriors were busy learning and playing as they:
🐐 Made their very own goats
🌉 Placed goats on, under, beside and next to bridges
👹 Drew and coloured their own scary trolls
🧌 Created scary trolls using paper plates
🟢 Rolled playdough into lots of different shapes
🌉 Built bridges using DUPLO for the goats to cross

We also had lots of fun with Mr Madley and Mrs Coleman as we tackled an obstacle course! 🛝🪢🎾 It was a little warm out there 🌞, but that didn't stop our Warriors from having fun and giving everything a go! 💪😊

What a fun-filled day of stories, learning, creating and playing! ❤️

We can't wait to see our Warriors again next week for another fun-filled Warriors day! 🌟

🌱 School Garden Produce Sale Tomorrow! 🌱

Fresh produce from our school garden will be available tomorrow afternoon after school, Wednesday 26 August, out the front of the P2 Technologies Room.

🌟 The Willows Warriors Pre-Prep Transition Program 🌟

📚✨ Today, The Warriors celebrated Book Week with our very own costume celebration! 🎉

We created our own special costumes and transformed into all sorts of wonderful characters — including pirates 🏴‍☠️, mermaids 🧜‍♀️, butterflies 🦋, dinosaurs 🦕 and superheroes! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Our book for today was What Will You Be?, which got us thinking about all the exciting possibilities of what we might become one day. 🌈✨

We were so excited for our very own costume parade! 🎭 We also had lots of fun making music with instruments 🥁🪇 and singing and dancing along to some favourite songs. 🎶💃

What a fun-filled Book Week celebration with our little Warriors! 💛📚🦖✨

🌟 The Willows Warriors Pre-Prep Transition Program 🌟

📚 Roar, roar... hello, dinosaur friends! 🦖🦕

Today at Warriors we had a roarsome dinosaur adventure! We read the story Dinosaurs on the Loose, where colourful dinosaurs were running wild and causing all sorts of chaos! There was a 💚 green, 💙 blue, 🧡 orange, 💜 purple and ❤️ red dinosaur to discover.

We welcomed 13 friends in the morning and 12 friends in the afternoon, and everyone had a fantastic time creating their own dinosaur-themed masterpieces. 🦕 We made colourful pom-pom dinosaurs, decorated dinosaurs with ripped paper, completed dinosaur puzzles 🧩 and even built dinosaurs to put together.

🌞 Outside, our morning friends joined Mr Madeley for an exciting egg-and-spoon race 🥚🥄 before racing alongside Mrs Zonta's class in some fast and fun relay races. 🏃‍♀️🏃 We had some very speedy runners!

In the afternoon, our friends enjoyed imaginative play in Home Corner 🍳👮🧑‍🍳, dressing up in lots of different hats and having so much fun together. 🤠🧢

👋 We can't wait to see all of our Warriors again next week for another exciting afternoon of learning, playing and making new friends! 💙

At The Willows State School, we are getting behind Bullying No Way Week and this year’s national theme, Small Acts, Big Impact. 🌟

The message is simple but powerful. Small actions can make a BIG difference in someone’s day. Including someone, speaking up and showing kindness all help build a school where everyone feels welcome, respected and that they belong. 🤝

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌟 A Schools Athletics Carnival 2026 🌟🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

What an incredible day for Team Willows at the 2026 A Schools Athletics Carnival! 💙💛

🏅 Our team finished an outstanding 5th Overall, with our Boys placing 3rd in the overall boys points score. What a fantastic achievement by all! 👏🎉

While we may not have finished at the very top of the leaderboard, our students were champions in the way they represented our school. From cheering on teammates to congratulating competitors, they displayed outstanding sportsmanship, encouragement and respect throughout the day, a true reflection of Willows Pride. 💙👏💛

🎉 Congratulations to the our students who have been invited to represent the A Schools Team at the NQ Athletics Trials on Tuesday 25 August. We wish you all the very best as you take the next step in your athletics journey! ⭐🏃

🙏 A huge thank you to all of our staff who trained, supported and encouraged our athletes in the lead-up to the carnival. Your dedication played a significant role in our success.

👏 A special shout-out to our amazing PE teachers, Mrs Deuble and Mr Madeley, for your outstanding leadership, organisation and enthusiasm throughout the season.

💙 And finally, thank you to our wonderful families who came along to cheer, encourage and support our students.

🌟 Willows Warriors Pre-Prep Transition Program 🌟

Hello, Warriors friends! 👋

What a healthy and exciting day we had at Willows Warriors today! 🍎🍏

Mrs Tropea shared the wonderful story Mr Brown's Magnificent Apple Tree, where Mr Brown's apple tree was filled with five big, red apples. 🌳🍎 But there was a mystery to solve... someone was sneaking into the orchard each night and eating the apples! 🌙🤔 Can you guess who the cheeky culprit was? 🐭🐭

Our Warriors also enjoyed plenty of outdoor fun, riding trikes 🚲, playing What's the Time, Mr Wolf? 🐺🕕 and joining Mrs Coleman for a shape game filled with circles, squares, triangles and more! 🔺🟪⭕️

Back inside, our busy learners created beautiful apple trees, apples and cheeky little mice through craft. 🌳🍎🐭 We explored shapes, counted and worked with numbers, and enjoyed lots of hands-on learning together.

Our morning group had a fantastic time building towers as tall as themselves! 🗼 Meanwhile, our afternoon group gave a very warm Willows Warriors welcome to another new friend. 💙

We can't wait to see everyone back for another fun-filled Willows Warriors Wednesday next week! 🌟
