🖤💛❤️ Reconciliation Week – “All In” 2026 🖤💛❤️

For Reconciliation Week, the children were all in as they worked together to create a collaborative poster inspired by this year’s theme, “All In.”
Using their painted handprints, each child contributed to the artwork, symbolising unity, inclusion, and the importance of everyone playing a part in reconciliation. The children explored colours, textures, and creativity as they proudly placed their hands onto the poster, creating a meaningful shared piece.
This experience supported the development of fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and self-expression, while also introducing early conversations about belonging, respect, and working together as a community.
We are so proud of the children for being all in and contributing to such a special and thoughtful piece of learning 💛

🚦 Road Safety Week at Our Centre! 🚙

This morning, the children had a wonderful time creating their own road for cars to drive on! They explored different traffic signs, including stop signs, give way signs, and traffic lights, learning what each one means and how they help keep us safe every day.
We had engaging discussions about road safety, focusing on how we travel safely and cross the road. The children showed great understanding of traffic light colours—🔴 red means stop, 🟡 yellow means slow down, and 🟢 green means go!

We also talked about zebra crossings and how to use them safely. The children demonstrated their knowledge by sharing that we need to look both ways before crossing, always hold an adult’s hand, and walk carefully across the road. We even discussed the role of a crossing supervisor (the “lollipop person”) and how their whistle lets us know it’s safe to cross.

It was fantastic to see the children so engaged and confident in learning about keeping themselves and others safe in our community 💛

The Kindy 1 children have been busy practicing their cutting skills. A variety of craft activities have supported in strengthening their fine‑motor abilities by using a variety of tools that promote hand–eye coordination, finger strength, and bilateral control—key foundations for confident scissor use. Providing pre‑cut materials alongside simple cutting tasks, such as snipping paper strips, cutting along short lines, or selecting pictures to cut for their collage, allowed children to build independence, persistence, and a sense of agency.

🌈 Tiny Village, Big Imagination!
Our babies have been busy exploring their very own little village today! We used our silicone rainbow arches as mini “homes,” and the children loved touching, stacking, and moving them around to build their own little world.
They are learning through every moment.

What an incredible day of learning, connection, and kindness for our team! ✨

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Annabelle from Sunshine Sign and Sing for a fun, hands-on personal development session. We explored key word sign and discovered new ways to support children’s communication, confidence, and inclusion, it was engaging, empowering, and full of those lightbulb moments!

To top it off, we were proudly rocking our brand new kindness T-shirts from Chase Clothing & Co, spreading positive vibes while we learnt together 🩷

There were so many smiles, laughs, and meaningful takeaways, and we’re so excited to start using key word sign in our everyday interactions with the children.

A huge thank you to Annabelle for sharing her amazing knowledge with us, we loved every minute!
