We had a magical incursion at Kindy last Friday with a special visit from Emily the Tooth Fairy and Rufus the dog! Emily and Rufus taught the Kindy, Junior kindy and Toddler friends all about keeping our teeth healthy through proper brushing techniques, fun songs, and learning the difference between “everyday” foods and “sometimes” foods.

Experiences like these help children connect with their wider community and enrich their learning through fun, engaging, hands-on experiences.

All of the children were very excited to receive their very own toothbrush to take home!

Well done to everyone for arriving ready and raring to go for swimming this morning!

We had a great start to our 6-week swimming program, with the children excited and confident on our walk to The Swim School. Along the way we chatted about road safety and noticed lots of things in our community, including “silly bins,” planes flying overhead and animals we spotted along the way.

All of the children did an amazing job listening, engaging and giving everything a go during their first lesson.

One week down, 5 to go!

What a beautiful morning we all had today celebrating Mothers Day🌸💐

The children loved sharing this special time together, taking part in activities like colouring in and relaxing in our “spa” with nail painting, gentle massages and a little makeup fun. It was so lovely to see the smiles, laughter and connections throughout the morning.

We finished with a yummy morning tea, giving everyone time to sit, chat and enjoy each other’s company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was such a special way to celebrate.

There’s something special about slow, simple play…

Whether it’s mixing water with leaves and flowers, cooking up imaginative meals, or washing and exploring in our Forest Kitchen, children are learning in the most natural way possible.

Through these open ended experiences, children learn through play as they build creativity, develop problem solving skills, grow in confidence and form meaningful social connections while following their own interests and ideas.

Our Easter Bonnet Parade was a truly lovely way to spend the morning yesterday.

A big thank you to our families for helping make the day so special and for spending the morning with us. It was a joy to see the children proudly wearing their bonnets and sharing the experience together.

A gentle reminder that our centre will be closed for the Good Friday and Easter Monday public holidays.

We wish all of our families a safe, happy and restful Easter break. If you are travelling we wish you a safe journey and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon.
