Educating Kids Early Learning Centre - Domain, Kirwan, Mt Low, Condon

Over the past month, the Toddlers Room at Educating Kids Kirwan Centre has been learning all about the colours of the rainbow through our Colour of the Week program.

This week we have brought all of our learning together by celebrating Rainbow Week. As a special keepsake, the children helped Miss Jess create their own tie-dye shirts.

Today the children proudly wore their rainbow shirts and posed for some photos together. It was the perfect way to celebrate World Friendship Day with all of our friends.

It has been wonderful learning about colours together, and we have loved watching the children explore, create and learn throughout this experience.

This will help our little people boost their confidence in social skills and develop cognitive skills. By exploring their local community children gain a strong sense of belonging.

So grateful for the Queensland Government for providing opportunities for our amazing Educators to progress with their qualifications. Taniesha and Tyson are just 2 of our staff who have upskilled using the government funding programs and we are proud of each and every one of our staff who continue to learn so that they can be the best versions of themselves whilst educating and caring for the children at our centres.
It was great listening to them talking about the benefits of these programs with the Minister on the weekend at the Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland conference.

Tyson and Taniesha are just two of 1,300 early childhood educators that have taken part in the Crisafulli Government’s Qualification Pathways Program.

It eases financial burdens and empowers educators to professionally grow and upgrade their qualifications.

Tyson can support his family and Taniesha is the first person in her family to attend university, highlighting the life-changing opportunities being offered through the QPP scholarship program.

Books encourage curiosity, creativity and important social skills as children explore characters, feelings, colours, shapes and new ideas in a fun and engaging way. Reading helps build language,imagination and a love of learning. Sharing stories together supports listening skills, early communication, memory and emotional connection. We love listening to the ‘bable’ of children telling us their own versions of stories in our younger age groups. 😍
