Today was Mary Who’s Book Week Celebration, and I had the BEST time singing the song, reading my book and sharing a little of the story behind I Love My Body. 📚🧡🩵
Felt like I was in my Kids in Harmony building doing what I love. X
It was never planned as a book. It began as a song in my head and became an all-time Kids in Harmony favourite.
Then one day, one of our Kids in Harmony mummas said, “I think the ‘I Love My Body’ song would make a beautiful book.”
Ten years later, I made it a reality and self published in 2018 🩵🧡. Let me know if you were at the book launch in the park?
Today, I got to share its beautiful message with so many children and families, and it was extra special to see some of our Kids in Harmony families there too and my heart is full!
✨ I love being me.
Thank you, Mary Who? Bookshop for such a special morning. 💛
Thank you Courtney for being such a big supporter of my work Birchy’s Books, Cards & Keepsakes
And to all the local authors, I loved the reading of your books!

I’m so excited to be joining Mary Who? Bookshop for a special Book Week morning alongside some inspiring local authors! 📚✨
I think the last time I shared Love My Body at an event like this was at our book launch in the park back in 2018, so this invitation feels extra special.
Come and join us!

Yesterday I stood on stage at the inaugural Cairns Women’s Leadership Forum talking about legacy.
I shared a story about my Grandad Allan, Young Talent Time, and how much I adored Tina Arena. I spoke about how there has never really been another show quite like it.
Then, only hours later, came the news that Johnny Young had passed away.
It stopped me in my tracks.
Because when I think about Young Talent Time, I don’t just remember a television show and that beautiful moment with my Grandad.
I remember how it felt.
A time when we sat together on the couch; no phones in our hands, no scrolling, no distractions, and became completely immersed in the music, the dancing, the laughter and the joy.
We watched together.
We sang together.
We had favourites.
We talked about it afterwards.
We connected.
And perhaps that is why the memories remain so strong all these years later.
At Kids in Harmony, I have spent so much of my life talking about the importance of love, joy and connection; particularly for our children and the people that care for them.
Johnny Young and Young Talent Time gave a generation of Australian families exactly that.
Not through an app.
Not through a screen competing for our attention.
But through something we experienced together.
That is legacy.
It is not only what we create or achieve.
It is how people felt because we were here.
Goodnight Johnny. ❤️
Thank you for the music, the memories and all those Saturday nights on the couch.
Your legacy lives on and on and on… ❤️
Big Love

Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists! ✨
Seeing this announcement brought back such lovely memories of being part of the awards two years ago as a judge and presenter. It was a true privilege to celebrate the incredible people doing such meaningful work across early childhood.
Be sure to get your tickets and celebrate the important work.
Cheering you all on and wishing every finalist the very best! 🩵
