📢 P&C Meeting Rescheduled
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our P&C General Meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening has been rescheduled.

🗓️ New Date: Wednesday 29th July
🕕 Time: 6:00pm
📍 Staff Common Room

We're trialling an earlier meeting time and hope this makes it easier for more parents and carers to come along.

We have a busy agenda with lots of exciting events and opportunities to discuss, including:

👔 Father's Day Stall
💡 Upcoming fundraising opportunities and future event planning

We'd love to see some new faces! Whether you're a regular attendee or have never been to a P&C meeting before, everyone is welcome. Come along, share your ideas, have your input into upcoming events, and see what our P&C is all about. Every idea and helping hand makes a difference to our school community.

Just a reminder that our next Oonoonba State School P&C General Meeting will be held next Thursday 23rd July at 6:30pm in the Staff Common Room (opposite the Music Room).

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, carer or community member, we'd love to see you there!

Our P&C plays an important role in supporting our school through fundraising, volunteering and working together to create the best opportunities for our students.

Junior Athletics Carnival BBQ & Cold Drinks Stall

Together with the support of our wonderful school, the Oonoonba State School P&C will be hosting a food and drinks stall at the Junior Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 23rd June! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We invite all parents, staff and students to come along, enjoy some food and drinks, and support our P&C while cheering on our amazing students during their carnival events. 💙❤️💚💛
🍽️ Available to purchase on the day:
🌭 Sausage in bread — $3
🍟 Chicken chips — $5
🥤 Cold drinks — $2
Please note: Students will not be able to purchase soft drinks at this event. Students will have the option to purchase cold juices and water instead. Parents and staff are welcome to purchase soft drinks from our stall.
💳 Cash & EFTPOS available on the day

To help us with catering and ensure we have enough food and drinks available, we would love for families who are planning to purchase from our stall to like or reply to this post. This will give us an idea of numbers and help us know how much stock to prepare. 😊

Come say hello, grab some lunch or a drink, and help support our school community.

💛 WOW! What a night! 💛

On behalf of the P&C, we would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our School Disco such a wonderful success.
Firstly, thank you to our amazing school community for supporting the event and for the many generous donations of drinks. Your support is always appreciated and helps us create fun events for our students.

A special thank you to Mals Bakery for their generous donation of bread/rolls and to Coles and Woolworths for their ongoing support of our school community. We are incredibly grateful for your contributions.

To our wonderful volunteers – where do we begin? Thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes with ordering supplies, collecting donations, setting up, packing down, serving food, cooking on the BBQ, making countless cheeseburgers, preparing lolly bags, and tackling the many jobs that often go unseen. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without your time, dedication, and willingness to lend a hand.

We would also like to apologise to those who missed out on food and drinks. We completely sold out of EVERYTHING! While this is an amazing problem to have, we certainly didn't anticipate just how hungry everyone would be. We will definitely be better prepared next time and make sure we have plenty more available.

A big thank you as well to everyone who waited so patiently while sausages and burgers were being cooked. Your patience, kindness, and understanding throughout the evening were greatly appreciated.
Finally, thank you to our school staff, PCYC staff and administration team for supporting us and helping host such a fantastic event. Working together helps create memorable experiences for our students and families.

Most importantly, we hope everyone had an amazing time dancing, laughing, and making memories at the disco! 🪩✨

We’re currently looking for donations of:

Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the tuckshop Monday to Friday up until the 29th of March.
