This year, our Year 12 students have chosen Mummy’s Wish as the beneficiary of our annual Charity Benefit Concert.

Mummy’s Wish provides practical and emotional support to Australian families when a mum is diagnosed with cancer, helping families manage the enormous impact that cancer treatment can have on everyday life.

We’re excited to bring young musicians from across North Queensland together for the Great Barrier Reef Youth Orchestra Weekend, as we take the first steps towards establishing GBRYO.

This final performance of what is often described as Handel's greatest work marks the culmination of an extraordinary musical journey that has brought together singers, instrumentalists, volunteers, supporters, and audiences from across Queensland and beyond.

Without the valued partnership of the Great Barrier Reef Orchestra and the Opera Queensland Young Artists Program this final performance would not be possible. Their artistic contribution has enriched this project immeasurably and helped create a truly collaborative celebration of music-making and without local soloists, including Harrison T from Pimlico State High School, the lead-up performances would have floundered and to them, many thanks.

Playing to those at the Townsville Hospital by Orpheus Strings has been a tradition of this group for many years and it's wonderful to witness our Pimlico students bringing the joy of music to the community. Congratulations Miss Mulligan and students.
