🌼💛 Daffodil Day! 💛🌼

Daffodil Day is always a special day on the calendar, and our Kindy One children celebrated by putting their amazing drawing skills to work! 🎨

Our very own little Picasso's carefully observed and drew their own beautiful daffodil flowers, using their creativity, imagination, and developing fine motor skills to bring their artwork to life ✏️🖌️

We loved seeing each child’s unique interpretation of these beautiful flowers and watching their confidence shine through their creations! 💛

🥕💪 Captain Carrot Visits Kindy! 💪🥕

We had a very special visit from Captain Carrot, who taught our children all about the importance of being healthy and strong, and of making nutritious choices!

Our little learners discovered why eating a variety of fruits and vegetables is so good for our growing bodies, helping us have energy, stay strong, and keep healthy.

The children had lots of fun learning about healthy foods and why we should try to include a rainbow of fruits and vegetables in our meals! 🌈

A big thank you to Captain Carrot for helping us learn that healthy bodies start with healthy choices! 💚

🐢🦎 Deadly Australians Visit! 🐢🦎

Our Kindy One and Kindy Two children had an exciting and educational visit from Deadly Australians!

The children learned all about some of Australia’s amazing native animals and, most importantly, what we should do if we come across wildlife 🇦🇺

We were so lucky to meet some incredible animals up close, including a blue-tongue lizard and a turtle.

The experience encouraged our children to develop respect and care for Australian wildlife while learning how to safely observe animals in their natural environment 🌏💚

A huge thank you to Marc from Deadly Australians for sharing your knowledge and giving our children such a memorable hands-on learning experience!

🌊🌏 Connecting with Our World 🌏🌊

Our Pre-Kindy children have been exploring what it means to connect with the world around us!

Through a hands-on sensory experience, the children explored different ways we can travel around the world, discovering how we journey by land, sea, and sky 🚗🚢✈️

We also explored the amazing animals that call each of these environments home, sparking curiosity and conversations about the world beyond our own surroundings 🐘🐠🦅

A wonderful sensory learning experience encouraging curiosity, imagination, and a growing understanding of our world! ✨

🦘🦔 Wildlife Wonders 🦔🦘

Our Pre-Kindy and Junior Kindy children had a wonderful hands-on wildlife experience!

We learned all about mammals and had the very special opportunity to meet some amazing Australian animals up close, including an echidna, sugar glider, and hopping mice! 🦔🐭

The children were fascinated as they observed, listened, and discovered more about how these incredible animals live, move, and care for themselves.

What a wonderful way to learn about Australian wildlife through real-life experiences! 💚

🧡🌳 Watching little hands at work! 🌳🧡

Our babies have been busy developing their fine motor skills by independently placing rings onto the branches of a paper tree.

This simple yet engaging experience encourages hand-eye coordination, concentration, problem-solving, and the development of the pincer grasp, an important foundation for future skills such as drawing, writing, and self-help tasks.

It's wonderful to see each child exploring at their own pace, building confidence, and celebrating their achievements with every ring they carefully place.

Learning through play is at the heart of everything we do, and it's amazing to watch these little milestones unfold each day! 🌿✨

🍦 Scooping Up Learning Through Play! 🍦

Our children have been busy expanding their dramatic play by creating their very own ice cream shop using soft, sensory cloud dough to make delicious pretend ice creams!

As they measured, counted, and carefully scooped their "ice cream," the children were developing early mathematical concepts while strengthening their fine motor skills.

Through imaginative conversations with their friends and educators, they also built on their language and communication skills, describing their creations, taking customer orders, and sharing ideas.

Experiences like these encourage creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and confidence, all while learning through the joy of play.

We loved seeing each child's unique imagination come to life, one scoop at a time! 🍨💛

🍪💛 Celebrating International Day of Friendship! 💛🍪

Today, our Kindy One children celebrated International Day of Friendship by creating their very own Friendship Cookies!

Before heading into the kitchen, we gathered together to talk about what it means to be a good friend. The children shared thoughtful ideas such as being kind, caring, helpful, patient, sharing, and including everyone.

Together, we then explored how these qualities of friendship could be represented through the ingredients we used. Just like a recipe needs the right mix of ingredients to make something special, friendships are built with kindness, respect, laughter, and teamwork.

As the children measured, mixed, stirred, and baked, they strengthened their early maths, literacy, communication, and fine motor skills while working collaboratively with their peers.

Most importantly, they discovered that the sweetest friendships are made when everyone adds something special to the mix.

🥕🌿🍓 Growing, Learning and Caring! 🍓🌿🥕

Our Kindergarten children have been busy getting their hands dirty as they planted a wonderful selection of herbs, fruits, and vegetables in our garden.

Through this hands-on experience, the children are learning where food comes from, how plants grow, and the importance of caring for living things.

As they water, w**d, and watch their garden flourish, they're developing responsibility, patience, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for nature and sustainability.

We can't wait to see our garden grow and eventually enjoy the fresh produce together!
