💙 Jeans for Genes Day 👖💙

On Thursday, our service joined in supporting Jeans for Genes Day! The children enjoyed getting creative by decorating jeans, denim skirts and even creating their very own mini denim jeans. 👖🎨

The children had lots of fun participating in these special activities and showing their support by wearing their favourite denim.

A wonderful day of creativity, fun and supporting a great cause!

🌿 NAIDOC Week at My Little Feet Aitkenvale 🌿

This week, the children acknowledged NAIDOC Week by creating collage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. They participated in our daily Acknowledgement of Country, and also enjoyed singing Inanay and Taba Naba, painted their own clapping sticks, explored sensory trays, and created story stones using Indigenous symbols.

These experiences encouraged respect, appreciation and a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and traditions.

🐞🐛 Insect Week Fun! 🐌🦋

This week, across our service the children enjoyed a variety of fun, hands on insect themed experiences and creative craft activities. Using recyclable materials, playdough, air-dry clay, and CDs, lots of unique insect masterpieces were created.

The children also enjoyed creating beautiful flower butterflies, painting colourful ladybugs, and exploring water sensory insect bags. These experiences encouraged creativity, curiosity, and sensory exploration as the children learned more about the fascinating world of insects.

A highlight of the week was our spaghetti worms sensory experience, which quickly became a favourite among the children. It was wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they explored, created, and learned through play. What a fantastic week of discovery, creativity, and insect-inspired fun! 🐞🌿🦋
