Our Schoolies baked up a storm during the school holidays. We made Pizza, Milo cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes with lots of different colours and lots of fancy toppings.

Getting the children involved in cooking experiences helps them to develop future skills, understanding of how things are made, and learning about many different ways of being and doing. in small groups we build relationships and learn about the children and their likes and dislikes and they are all supported to collaborate, learn from and help each other

Disney Day.
we had so much fun engaging in Disney Day. The children and staff dressed up as their favorite characters and engaged in lots of different experiences. The children's favorite part of the day was the music and dancing with bubbles and making colorful hats and crowns with all sorts of bits and bobs.
We had arts and crafts, sensory tables, castle making, potion making, balloons, dancing, singing and much much more.

Engaging in community events promotes a happy and safe environment for the children as well as provides them with opportunity to learn and discover the world around them. It helps the staff and children build relationships and gain an understanding of the children and how they think and feel.

Our nursery children have been discovering their gross motor skills by using the soft climbing blocks. They have been practicing their standing and balance skills and enjoying themselves with lots of smiles and giggles.
Allowing the children to discover new ways of learning gives them the opportunity to assess situations and make decisions, it also allows them to practice trial and error and explore their sensorimotor cognitive development.

Malinda our Nursery Room Leader and Hailey our Nursey Room Assistant have been a part of our team here at Kids Patrol Idalia since we opened in March 2022.

Kids Patrol is a family owned and operated provider with Long Day Care and Outside School Hours Care services in Townsville & Oakey, catering to children from 6wks to 12 years. Each of our services have a unique character and spirit that is reflective of the communities they operate in.

The roles:
We are seeking experienced Educators to join our professional team at Idalia.
You must have:
• An ACEQA approved qualification (Bachelor ECE, Cert III or Diploma)
• Current employment class, Qld Working with Vulnerable Persons card
• Regular availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts during our opening
hours
