πŸ”¬βœ¨ Celebrating National Science Week! ✨πŸ§ͺ

Our little scientists have had an exciting week of wonder, discovery and hands-on learning! πŸŒˆπŸ” The children explored science through a variety of fun activities that encouraged them to observe, experiment, ask questions and discover how things work.

Science Week became even more special when Emily, Matilda Sheen’s mum, joined our Kindy children for a wonderful science session! πŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬πŸ’‘ The children loved getting involved, watching what happened and sharing their excitement as they explored science together.

A big thank you to Emily for sharing her time, knowledge and enthusiasm with us. πŸ’› Having our families involved creates a meaningful family connection, bringing home and our learning community together while making the children’s experiences even more special.

πŸ’› Daffodil Day πŸ’›

Today our Centre was brightened with beautiful shades of yellow as we showed our support and helped raise awareness for Daffodil Day 🌼

Daffodil Day is a special day that brings people together to support those affected by cancer, raise awareness, and help give hope for a cancer-free future. The daffodil is a symbol of hope and resilience.

A big thank you to all our children, families, and Educators who joined us by wearing yellow and supporting this meaningful cause. Together, our little actions can make a big difference πŸŒΌπŸ’›

😊😒😠 Exploring Emotions in Pre-Kindy! 😠😒😊

Our Pre-Kindy children have been having lots of fun learning about different emotions, including happy, sad, and angry.

Through a variety of hands-on experiences, from creative arts and crafts to watching an exciting volcano eruption experiment representing an β€œangry” feeling, the children explored different ways emotions can look and feel πŸŒ‹πŸŽ¨

These playful experiences are helping our little learners recognise and name emotions and express their feelings while building important social and emotional skillsπŸ’›

This week, our little learners in Tiny Tots had lots of fun exploring ice sensory painting! 🧊

Using frozen coloured popsicle sticks and painting on the ice, the children watched the colours swirl, mix, and melt together.

As they touched and explored the ice, the children discovered the sensation of β€œcold”, helping to build their vocabulary through hands-on play.

This colourful experience also encouraged sensory exploration, creativity, and fine motor skills.

Lots of chilly little fingers and colourful fun! β„οΈπŸ’™βœ¨

🦷✨ Dental Health Week Fun! ✨🦷

Our little learners had so much fun celebrating Dental Health Week through play-based learning!

They loved brushing Dino’s teeth, reading Why Should I Brush My Teeth?, and cleaning the β€œplaque” from our egg-carton teeth with toothbrushes.

The smiles on the children’s faces said it all, they were fully engaged, having fun, and building positive lifelong habits as they learned to care for their teeth 😁πŸͺ₯πŸ’™

πŸ’™πŸ€Έ Kindy Room Active Learning! πŸ€ΈπŸ’™

Our Kindy children enjoyed a variety of fun, engaging physical experiences that supported their gross motor development and encouraged confidence and teamwork.

The children explored creative movement through a hands-and-feet painting activity, experimented with overarm and underarm throwing during a hoop toss challenge, and challenged themselves in a hopscotch obstacle course that promoted balance, coordination, agility, and body awareness.

These hands-on experiences gave the children opportunities to practice new skills, solve problems, and stay active while having lots of fun with their friends.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they challenged themselves in different ways 🌟

🐒🌞 Sandpit Fun with Our Turtle Life Cycle! 🌞🐒

Our little explorers continued their turtle life cycle adventure with a hands-on sandpit experience πŸ–οΈ

After listening to the story of a turtle’s life cycle, the children eagerly grabbed their spades and worked together to dig a big nest in the sand.

They carefully placed white balls into the nest to represent turtle eggs, then gently covered them with sand, just as a mother turtle would in nature.

It was wonderful to see their excitement, teamwork, and imagination come to life as they learned through play! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’š
