Maclean Landcare Group We collect seeds and grow local species of the Clarence valley for our local community and beyond

Maclean Landcare Group was established in 2008. We are committed to the Protection of Native Remnant Forest & Culturally Significant Historical finds/areas on Lookout Hill in Maclean. We operate the Community Nursery at Townsend, where we are engaged in collection, propagation and sale of local native species. We are supported by the Clarence Valley Council, and by the Yaegl Community in the protection of Heritage sites.

Nothing beats a productive day on the farm! 🌿
We've been hard at work mulching to support the regeneration of our Australian native trees and shrubs. Proper mulching keeps the moisture in, builds up the organic matter, and keeps the soil biology happy (as you can see by our giant worm friend!).
Big thanks to our four-legged site manager for keeping us all on track. 🐶 Relgarding the next phase, we can't wait to see these natives take off!

The nursery is full to the brim at the moment and what a perfect time to be planting .
One of the beauties are Leptospermum-more commonly known as tea tree . We have a few different varieties and they all promise the delicate white flowers as pictured .
Local to the area , bee magnets and pretty hardy
We are open Thursday and Friday 8-12.
