On top of years of performing and professional practice, Griffin has a Bachelor of Music Performance where he studied a range of topics such as drums/percussion, performance techniques, teaching, studio performance/engineering, music business, songwriting, genre studies, music theory, and much more in the heart of Melbourne. Griffin has been banging the drums since he was a young child. He's had many mentors and teachers to learn from. Griffin has taught drums at schools, privately and in local music stores for many years, where he uses a wide range of teaching techniques to cater for students. Awards:
Griffin entered Drumtek Australia 'Up and Coming Drummer Competition' making the top 10 at age 13. Griffin completed high school with the highest mark in VCE drums and a solo performance for top of the state 'top acts' at the Melbourne recital centre. He performed works from 'Virgil Donati, Graham Morgan and Dave Weckl, noted by the judges for his "accuracy, technique, and outstanding use of dynamics". Bands:
Griffin is the backbone for several Aussie bands. From Rock, Blues, Funk, Psych Rock, and Indie rock, catch a live show or listen to his performances on studio recorded albums by bands 'Honey Hunter', 'Honest Lives', 'The Triple Delta', and 'Sound Mountain'. Testimonials:
