Kyokushin Karate Torquay

Congratulations to Sempai Garth, from Kyokushin Torquay dojo, on receiving his Shodan black belt and certificate last weekend. Sempai Garth’s Kyokushin journey to 1st Dan has been a longtime in the making and we are immensely proud of his achievement. The dedication and determination applied in hard work, persistence, skill and knowledge and proving you have the attributes to be a Kyokushin dan grade, make this achievement one very few ever attain. Well done Sempai Garth, Osu!

This coming Monday night (9th Dec) will be my last training night as head instructor at Kyokushin Karate Torquay.
I started as dojo operator at Torquay in 2019 and have loved every minute of training with all the students in the dojo.
Not only have we had our own Torquay students attend training but many students from other dojo’s come and train with us regularly.
It would be a great honour to me if all our students and visiting students from other dojo’s came and trained with us this Monday night as I officially hand the dojo over to Sempai Shane Pittendrigh.

Hope to see you there, and don’t forget to wear some Christmas decorations on your gi.

Breaking News.
As of start of 2025 Kyokushin Karate Torquay's dojo Operator will be Sempai Shane Pittendrigh as Sempai Ken will be moving across to Bannockburn to be the new dojo operator at Bannockburn Kyokushin Karate.
Sempai Shane has many years of Kyokushin Karate experience which he will bring to the dojo.
I encourage everyone to get behind Sempai Shane as he travels this new road in his Kyokushin journey.
