"Did the membrane fail?"
Wrong question.
Cracked tiles. Water under the floor. Everyone pointing at the waterproofer.
But the membrane is rarely where the failure starts.
Wrong falls. Poor substrate. A design that couldn't be built as drawn.
By the time it looks like this, three things already went wrong β before a tool touched the ground.
Design drives compliance. Installation implements it. Complibuild helps you apply it.

This building has safety fencing around it.
It didn't start with a waterproofing failure.
It started with no site risk analysis before works began.
A seasonal water table eroded the foundations. By the time it showed up, the damage was done.
Remediation post-construction is costly. At best it's a band aid.
Know what you're building in before a tool touches the ground.

Most people in construction don't know these numbers.
$4 billion per year in water related defects. $1.5 million average remediation cost per building. 1 in 5 commercial buildings affected.
The pattern is consistent whether it's internal, external or below grade.
Buildings should be three things. Buildable. Functional. Compliant.
2 out of 3 is bad.
Design drives compliance. Installation implements it. Complibuild helps you apply it.

One common cause of basement leaking is a lack of testing before a tool has touched the ground.
Most people debate liquid vs sheet membrane.
Wrong question.
Understanding the water table beneath your structure matters more than any product decision.

Most people I speak to don't know this changed.
Since December 2024, defect claims follow the director or nominated supervisor personally. Not the company. You.
The courts aren't asking for perfection. They're asking: can you prove reasonable care was taken?
No trail. No proof. No defence.

Most people think balconies fail from bad membrane.
Oh, how they are wrong.
Last night in Build to Win we broke down exactly why lightweight balconies fail, and it starts long before the waterproofer arrives.
