This extension and renovation reimagines the home through a refined palette of James Hardie Fine Texture Cladding and Axent Trim, paired with sculptural curved walls and sleek aluminium window hoods. The result is a contemporary retreat that balances architectural softness with crisp detailing, creating a sense of understated luxury and enhanced privacy throughout.

Cara is a Building Designer at Meenks Ink. She joined the team in 2021 with several years of experience in the construction industry. She brings a thoughtful and creative approach to design, with a strong appreciation for well-resolved, buildable outcomes.
Cara has completed a Certificate II in Building & Construction and first-year Architecture studies at Deakin University, and continues to develop her skills within the design profession.
Cara has a particular appreciation for mid-century architecture. She’s drawn to the thoughtful planning, materiality, and efficient design of these homes.
Outside of work, she loves music, enjoys spending time with friends and getting to the beach.

Welcome to Project Dryfe. This small second dwelling pairs vertical sheet metal with horizontal weatherboard to create a modern yet timeless exterior. Large sliding doors flood the interior with natural light, delivering a simple, cost-effective build designed as the perfect contemporary cottage.

So happy to see Project Sea View completed and ready for this family to enjoy. This design featured a brand new entertaining area and updates to the layouts of the living room, dining room and main bathroom. With a double-sided fireplace and ample dining and relaxation spaces, this home is now ready for every family celebration.
