Humans Becoming Knowing that the process of inner work is open-ended, Humans Becoming programs are designed to strengthen body mind unity and promote psychological growth.

As human beings we are the ‘unfinished animal'. Our nature is open-ended and malleable, and we are forever discovering anew what we are capable of. Although we are given a human body at birth, we are not given our full humanity. Becoming human means discovering our fullness and learning to live from it. This involves bringing forth more of who we really are and becoming more available to whatever life presents.
– John Welwood

All Humans Becoming programs strengthen body mind unity and promote psychological growth, awareness and well-being.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction hits Geelong!
3 weeks until launch date.

"Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is the original evidence-based, user-friendly program that brings the principles of mindfulness meditation into everyday life by teaching specific skills and practices to help break cycles of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion".

Despite many many years on my meditation cushion the content of this program is as relevant and inspiring to me as it was when I first discovered meditation – almost 20 years ago! I'm so pleased to be able to share this work so close to home!

Surf Coasters, This course changed my world and my work. It deepened my meditation practice and was the beginning of my long love affair with Theravada Buddhism, despite being secular in content.

I'll be teaching this 8-week program in October-November. It's evidence-based, it requires lots of practice and it changes lives. If you're wanting to establish a daily meditation and mindfulness practice, and learn news ways of relating to stress and your emotions and to engage in life more fully this course may be for you.

Bookings through Openground Australia.

Not long now until we meet to explore somatic resourcing through the skeletal system – the bones.

When we talk about somatic resourcing, we're talking about the different ways we work with our body to influence and shift our embodied experience.

At the most basic level, we're talking about being able to choose presence and safety – even in the face of triggering situations. We're talking about being able to choose how we want feel, on an emotional and energetic level.

For me the bones offer such richness and surprise.

They're reliable! A place of immediate support, but also textured contradictions.

There's the quiet sinking of the marrow, and the light breeziness of the periosteum. There's the density and strength of the cortical, and the subtle fluidity and vitality of the trabecular bone. Then the less subtle, which comes from the skeleton as a whole. Uprightness, clarity, efficiency – the possibility of clear expression and articulation. Qualities that let us know we are here, grounded and ready. All good stuff!

I'm curious, what will your bones offer you?

Come join us on May 17 and find out.
