🏂❄️ Victorian Snowsports Championships ❄️⛷️
Over the past week, nine Torquay College students proudly competed in the Victorian Snowsports Championships at Mt Buller.
Our team experienced four seasons of weather, beautiful sunshine from Sunday to Tuesday, followed by strong winds and heavy rain, but they showed incredible determination and represented our school brilliantly throughout the championships.
A special congratulations to our standout performers:
🥇 Annabelle—1st place in the Division 5 Giant Slalom
🥇 Lotus—1st place in the Division 4 Snowboard Giant Slalom
🏆 Lotus—Overall Girls Snowboard Champion and recipient of the prestigious Buller Cup Trophy!
We are incredibly proud of all nine students for their courage, sportsmanship and wonderful achievements. What an outstanding week for Team Torquay College!

What an extraordinary production!

Across six incredible shows, our talented students brought their adaptation of Alice in Wonderland to life with energy, creativity and confidence. From the unforgettable characters and spectacular costumes to the music, movement and moments of pure magic, every performance showcased an enormous amount of time, effort and dedication.

Our school production is always one of the most special times for the Torquay College community, and this year was truly exceptional. We could not be prouder of every student who stepped onto the stage or contributed behind the scenes.

A heartfelt thank you to Ben, Kate and Nat for their extraordinary vision, preparation and commitment, and to all the staff, families and volunteers who helped make the production possible.

Western Metropolitan Hockey Championships 🏑

What a fantastic day for our Torquay College Boys and Girls Hockey Teams, who competed at the Western Metropolitan Hockey Championships on Monday!

🥈 Girls – Runners-Up
🥉 Boys – 3rd Place

Our girls’ final was an absolute nail-biter, going into extra time and then sudden death! They showed incredible determination and teamwork right to the very end.

We are so proud of both teams, not only for their outstanding results, but for the way they represented Torquay College throughout the day. 💙

A huge thank you to our staff and families who supported our students and helped make opportunities like this possible.

We are incredibly proud of our outstanding 2026 NAPLAN results!
Over the past two years, our concentrated focus on literacy has delivered strong outcomes, with our students achieving above both the network and state in key areas.
As we continue building on this success, spelling and numeracy will be key improvement priorities moving into 2027.

⚽️🏆 What a fantastic achievement by our Torquay College Girls Soccer Team! 🏆⚽️

Today our girls proudly represented Torquay College at the Western Metropolitan Soccer Championships, finishing as runners-up after an outstanding day of competition.

The team demonstrated incredible skill, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, doing our school community proud every step of the way. Congratulations to every player on a wonderful achievement!

A huge thank you to Adrian Leijer for generously giving up his time, expertise and encouragement to coach the team throughout the tournament, and to Mr Mcloughlan for his coaching support ⚽️🏆 We also extend our sincere thanks to our amazing parents for transporting players, cheering from the sidelines and supporting the team all day.

Do you have a child starting Foundation in 2027 or are you still deciding what school for next year? We’d love to welcome you to our Foundation Playgroup at Torquay College!

Join us each Wednesday in Term 3 for fun, friendship and hands-on activities designed to help your child feel confident and excited about starting school. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet future classmates, explore our Foundation classrooms and become part of the Torquay College community.
