First Excursion of 2026!

We travelled to Bunnings with our Maata (Toddler) Children having them assist in picking some new plants for their newly renovated yard!

Look out for our Centre bus in the local community as we have multiple regular excursions each week!

We are currently on the look out to employ an Early Childhood Teacher on a casual basis at Toronto Community Child Care Centre.

Specifically our need is for a Monday position with the opportunity for further shifts throughout the week and potential ongoing employment.

To be successful for this position we would require the following:

-Bachelor or Teaching Degree in Early Education
-Updated First Aid and CPR Certificates
-Food Safety Certificate (In which you can complete during induction).

If you see a boat out on the water that looks a bit like the one below in this drawing, you might want to take a closer look. It is an ICE-CREAM BOAT!

Georgia from the Mowane Room and her family run a small business called Nautical Snacks. They sell Streets ice-creams, drinks and milkshakes out on the water. They just had a big weekend over the ‘Australia Day’ long weekend and Georgia tells us that “A lot of people like to eat our ice-creams”.

We asked Georgia who she sells her ice-creams to, and of course, she told us “People who don’t have ice-cream boats!”.

You might hear this boat going by, with Georgia telling us “We play ice-cream music”.

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us at TCCC! 🎄

We would like to wish all of our wonderful families, children, and community members a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for being part of our TCCC community and for your ongoing support throughout the year.

We hope everyone enjoys a joyful Christmas and a safe, relaxing 4-week break. We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year for more learning, laughter, and special moments together. We will see you back here the week of the 19th of January 2026!

To our School Leavers, congratulations on this special milestone. We wish you every success and happiness as you begin your schooling adventure.

Throughout the year in the Mowane Room, our children have been nurturing our garden beds; planting, watering and observing the growth of our seeds. As a way to celebrate the beautiful flowers they have grown, children have painted vibrant images of our flowers whilst sitting amongst the garden, each showing their creativity and connection with nature. They did not rush these paintings, carefully giving time and attention to their artworks. It was so lovely to hear the children complement each other’s work, calling others to have a look in admiration.

Santa and Mrs Claus visited and handed out presents to our children at the service, with a few treats enjoyed by all!

Annual Christmas Raffle!

We are now accepting donations for our upcoming Christmas Raffle!
For those willing to donate there is a table set up within the front foyer.
Raffle tickets will be ready to purchase in the next few days with the opportunity to do this via bank transfer with reference of the raffle and child's name, alternatively you are more than welcome to pay cash either to front reception or room educators.

The raffle will be drawn on Friday the 12th of December 2025 with all recipients given the opportunity to collect over our last week of operation.

Halloween Themed Dress up Day! 🎃👻

The children and educators at TCCC have had a spooktacular day celebrating Halloween dress-up day!

The children enjoyed pumpkin carving, creative art and craft experiences, and some spooky dancing. We saw some incredible costumes — from spiders and Batman to witches and princesses. The fun continued with themed treats for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, including zombie yoghurt and mummy sausages!
