📢 Torbanlea State School P&C AGM Invitation 📢

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,

You’re warmly invited to attend our P&C Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 18 March at 9:30am, held here at Torbanlea State School.

At this meeting, we will be electing our 2026 P&C Executive Team, and we would love to see as many members of our school community there as possible. Attending meetings is a great way to share your ideas, perspectives, and skills to help shape the exciting activities and initiatives that benefit our students throughout the year.

👉 You don’t have to nominate for an executive role to attend — your voice and input are valuable.

Executive Roles Available:
• President – Leads and oversees the association
• Vice President – Supports the President and steps in when needed
• Secretary – Manages communication and meeting minutes
• Treasurer – Oversees finances and budgeting
• Fundraising Coordinator – Organises events and fundraising initiatives
• Tuckshop Coordinator – Organises Tuckshop and sporting / school initiatives

These roles play an important part in supporting our school and making informed decisions that positively impact our students, staff, and families. We encourage anyone interested to consider nominating.

📅 Please also note that general meeting dates for the year have been shared so families can plan ahead.

📝 Meeting minutes will be provided to all parents after each meeting.

For more information about the work of P&C Associations across Queensland, you can visit the P&C Queensland website.

✨ We look forward to a fantastic year ahead with the continued support of our wonderful P&C community!

As we face the current weather event impacting our region, I urge you to stay informed by regularly checking the latest updates from the Bureau of Meteorology. You can find accurate forecasts and warnings here: https://www.bom.gov.au/ and Emergency and Weather Updates:

During severe weather events, parents should monitor radio reports, weather forecasts, and emergency services directives to assess road and travel safety (Queensland Government).

For information regarding school operations and whether schools will be open or closed tomorrow, please visit the Department of Education disaster updates at: Official Queensland School Closures Website: The most reliable source for current closures is the official site, which lists schools deemed unsafe for attendance https://closures.qld.edu.au/schools.html

How to Stay Updated with us at Torbanlea State School:
Our school will post information to Class DoJo and on our page. Please keep checking these.
