πβ¨ BOOK WEEK 2026 AT SPRINGS EARLY EDUCATION β¨π
What a wonderful week of stories, imagination, dress-up and creativity we have enjoyed celebrating Book Week 2026! ππ
Throughout the week, our children and educators joined in the fun by dressing up as favourite book characters, bringing stories to life and creating lots of excitement and conversation around the books we know and love. π§ββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈππ
Children also participated in a range of engaging literacy experiences throughout the week. Through storytelling, shared reading, conversations, creative experiences and exploring books together, children were supported to develop their communication skills, imagination and early literacy understandings β while most importantly fostering a lifelong interest and love for books and reading. β€οΈπ
In line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), these experiences support children to become confident and involved learners and effective communicators. They provide opportunities for children to engage with texts, express ideas, build vocabulary, make connections and discover that literacy can be meaningful, enjoyable and fun.
π Our Book Exchange was also available throughout the week, giving our families the opportunity to bring in a pre-loved book and exchange it for another. This was a lovely way to involve our families in our Book Week celebrations while encouraging children to share the joy of reading and discover new stories to enjoy at home.
A big thank you to our wonderful children, families and educators for embracing Book Week and making it such a fun and memorable celebration.
At Springs Early Education, we know that a love of literacy begins with positive, meaningful experiences β and there is something very special about seeing a child become completely captivated by a good book. π
πβ¨ Hereβs to growing little readers, big imaginations and a lifelong love of learning! β¨π
