A reminder to families that Friday 4 September 2026 is a gazetted Pupil Free Day. Students are not required to attend school on this day.

There will be no staff on campus for the day. Families are encouraged to make alternative care arrangements as required.

Book Week Parade and Instrumental Music Recruitment Concert

This week, Rangeville State School has been proudly celebrating Book Week 2026: Symphony of
Stories, a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and storytelling. Students have enjoyed a range
of engaging activities throughout the week, culminating in one of the highlights of our school calendar,
the Book Week Parade.
Tomorrow morning, all students will take part in our annual Book Week Parade. Our Year 6 students will
lead the parade, with each year level joining the procession along the designated route (Map included
below) to create one large Rangeville State School Book Week parade. Students will complete two laps
of the school before gathering on the paved area in front of Administration for our weekly assembly.
At the conclusion of the parade, we will announce our Students of the Week, recognising students who
have demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm, participation and a love of reading during Book Week.
We warmly invite all parents, carers and family members to join us for this special celebration. Families
are welcome to position themselves at a suitable vantage point around the school grounds to enjoy the
parade and cheer on our students as they proudly showcase their favourite book characters and
costumes.
Following the parade, our Year 2 and Year 3 students will attend the Annual Instrumental Music
Recruitment Concert in the W Block Hall. Families of Year 2 and Year 3 students are also invited to
attend and enjoy performances and information presented by our talented Instrumental Music
Department.
We look forward to sharing this wonderful celebration of books, stories and learning with our school community.
