There’s something about an afternoon class at Revolution that probably doesn’t come across in
the fast clips.
You’ve got people at completely different stages of learning, all sharing the same floor. Some have been boxing for years, some are still thinking about where their feet need to be, how to hold their hands or how to throw a punch properly.
Brandon moves around the room, fixing little things as he goes. A hand comes back to the chin. A stance gets adjusted. Someone finally gets a combination they’ve been working on.
Nobody needs to be the best person in the
room. They just need to be willing to learn.
That’s probably the best way to explain what Revolution actually is. You come in where you’re
at, and you work from there. You hit the bag, learn how to move, get things wrong, do them
again and slowly start getting better.
Somewhere in all that repetition, people start carrying themselves differently too. More confidence, more discipline, more comfortable in their own skin.
Boxing gives you plenty to work on, and this gym gives you a place to do it around people who
are doing exactly the same thing.
