Our Ursie girls rolled up their sleeves yesterday to assemble birthing kits for Zonta, contributing to a project that supports safe birthing conditions for women around the world.
It was wonderful to see so many students working with care, teamwork and purpose — a true reflection of our Ursie spirit in action.
Thank you to Zonta for partnering with us in this meaningful initiative, and well done to all the girls who helped make a real difference today.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr Anita Wheeldon (Senior Lecturer, UniSQ) for sharing her expertise with our senior Business students last week. Through an engaging forum, students deepened their research and critical thinking as they explored the evolving role and repositioning of higher education institutions. Dr Wheeldon’s extensive knowledge and passion for UniSQ’s socially informed approach to progress inspired thoughtful discussion and provided valuable real-world insight for our future business leaders.

It is now Production Week for our College Musical, Grease – School Edition! Today, we would like you to meet Ella Seeto (Year 11) who plays Danny.
I play the character Danny, the leader of the Burger Palace boys, known for his confidence and easy-going charm. I have been involved in musicals and the Arts department at St Ursula's College since I was in Year 7. I was in ensemble for Mamma Mia! and had my first lead role as Chad in High School Musical On Stage! I have always had a love for the Arts and continue to show my passion by participating in dance troupes and classes within the school community. Outside of school, I have participated in Toowoomba Choral Society's productions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tarzan, Mary Poppins, and the upcoming musical of Beauty and the Beast. Being a part of Grease – School Edition has strengthened my relationships with my friends and castmates and has allowed me to build new ones. I am looking forward to seeing everything come together on the Empire stage in June and celebrating many triumphs with the cast and crew.

Our Ursies students had an incredible experience on their AWE Ag Immersion Camp, exploring the cotton industry in St George from paddock to production. They visited working cotton farms, watched the ginning process in action, and even had the chance to see an aerial sprayer up close.
The camp gave students valuable insight into how cotton is grown, harvested and processed, along with the many career pathways available in the agricultural sector. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they connected classroom learning with real‑world agriculture.

Our Year 9 Ursies students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test last week as they hosted their Blended Learning Market.
Students planned what to sell, budgeted their seed money, calculated profit margins, and created all their products from scratch. It all came together at First Break on Friday, where they sold their items to a very eager crowd of staff and students.
A fantastic effort from everyone involved — what a great way to bring learning to life!

It is now Production Week for our College Musical, Grease – School Edition! Today, we would like you to meet Zoe Schultz (Year 10) who plays Sandy.
I play Sandy, a character who brings a mix of sweetness, sincerity, and quiet strength to the story. Her wholesome, traditional nature sets her apart from many of the bolder, rebellious students at Rydell High. Sandy’s journey is all about navigating first love, friendship, and the pressure to fit in, while slowly discovering her own strength and independence. I enjoy exploring her journey from the shy new girl to someone who finds confidence in herself and her place within the Rydell High world. I’ve been involved in performing arts from a young age. I’ve learnt various dance styles at local dance studios since I was 5 years old including performing at annual concerts and eisteddfods, as well as being in our College Dance Troupes. Music is also a big part of my life as I enjoy songwriting, playing saxophone, piano, and a bit of drums. I’m in multiple bands including ‘The Jazz Squad’ and St Ursula’s College bands, as well as having sung in choirs. I have also participated in musicals, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (TCSYC, 2023), Disney’s High School Musical On Stage (St Ursula’s College, 2024) and Mary Poppins (TCSYC, 2025). For Grease – School Edition, I’m really looking forward to working with such an amazing, talented cast and creative team, building new friendships and connections and the thrill of bringing the production to life on stage, and improving my musical theatre skills.
