Recently, the Daisy Group has been exploring drawing in wonderfully different ways.

We drew underneath a table, encouraging the children to work against gravity while strengthening upper-body muscles, hand-eye coordination and pencil grip.

Another week, we listened to The Carnival of the Animals – Aquarium by Camille Saint-Saëns and let the music inspire our drawings.

These experiences support fine motor skills, focus and concentration, while encouraging children to express ideas and feelings creatively.

What an amazing week we had last week! Our children were given the opportunity to visit Amaroo Environmental Education Centre to learn about our bush, outdoor play, and the importance of listening to nature! We also got to see a cool-burn site up close and learnt about the importance of looking after Country with fire. Plenty of exhausted but very happy children.
