What a wonderful week of celebrations at Oak on Jellicoe ππΌ π We celebrated Tellyβs birthday, congratulated Hande on completing her Graduate Diploma and welcomed Nicol to the team. We love taking the time to recognise the milestones, achievements and people that make our community so special β€οΈ

Our Junior Playground has had an exciting upgrade, and the children have been busy exploring every new feature βοΈ π βοΈ
The double slide was an instant favourite, with P excitedly sharing - βLook, itβs for two friends!β π
Our new viewing windows are inspiring wonder and connection as the children observe the world beyond the playground and the vegetable garden has been refreshed with newly planted strawberries and snow peas, ready for the children to nurture, observe and harvest π± ππ«

Oak on Jellicoe enjoyed a special ambulance visit from Paramedic Jac today! There was plenty of excitement exploring the ambulance up close and seeing the lights in action π π¨
Our Kindergarten children also took part in an engaging education session, learning about first aid, staying safe and the important role paramedics play in our community π©Ή βοΈ
Fun fact: Did you know that our entire Kindergarten class could fit inside the ambulance!?

Self serving meals provide our toddlers with meaningful opportunities to make choices, develop autonomy and build confidence in their own capabilities. From deciding what goes on their plate to serving themselves, these everyday moments support independence and a positive relationship with food π£ π₯ͺ π

Our fire station continues to be a much loved learning space, with the children recently slowing down to share a cuppa and relax together βπ₯ This is a beautiful example of how our educators use intentional environments and responsive practice to support opportunities for connection and slowing down within a busy environment β€οΈ

Today we welcomed some special visitors from Harlaxton State School and joined in Simultaneous Story Time 2026. Our Kindergarten class was treated to a reading of Luna Roo complete with dress ups and theatrics. What a wonderful way to build meaningful connections with our local school community π

Today our educators and children showed up in their maroon and blue to support their favourite teams π Conversations were shared around family traditions, community culture and the excitement that surrounds events like State of Origin, creating meaningful opportunities for connection and belonging.
