What a difference God makes!
This is a response from one of our newer prison inmate students completing the study, 'Doing Time with Jesus'.

For anyone who is still bound by the effects of sin or self-will, God is still transforming lives! These responses are from one of our inmate students who has just completed his second study, 'The Bible, What's In It For You?'. He professed to be saved during his first study, 'Men Who Met Jesus'.

With much thanks to David and his team of faithful volunteers, for their faithfulness and enduring service as unto the Lord. Our inmate students regularly comment how much they value these resources that we on the “outside” take the availability of for granted.
Christian Literature Outreach began through the faith and obedience of David Gillies.
In his early 50s, David was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer. Doctors told him there was no cure… and that he likely had only months to live.
In that season, he held onto the words in Psalm 118:17:
“I shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”
Out of that came a clear sense of calling: to reach people in prison with the hope of the Gospel.
Nearly 30 years later, that work has sent tonnes of Christian resources into prisons right across Australia and New Zealand.
Now, Prison Fellowship Australia has the privilege of carrying this work forward. Please pray with us!
🙏 PRAYER POINT: Please pray that God would continue to use the legacy and faithfulness of David’s obedience to bring hope to even more people in prison.

Another 62 Emmaus studies printed, bound, and ready to be guillotined, to keep up with the demand from those keen to learn from God’s word.

It was such a privilege to share at Reedy Ck Baptist this morning about what God is doing in the lives of some of the most marginalised people through Emmaus.
We’re grateful for people like Lyn, who is one of Carinity’s amazing chaplains, and her husband Lance.
Thanks Pastor Aaron and the church family who made me feel so welcomed.
