January is for intentions, February is for action.
The mats don’t care about resolutions, they respond to consistency, sweat and the choice to show up when it’s easier not to. This is the month where most people fade, but not at KaChi.
In Judo and BJJ, progress isn’t loud, it’s the quiet grind:
• One more round when you’re tired
• One more rep on a technique that still feels awkward
• One more step toward the version of you who doesn’t quit
Every class is a chance to sharpen your discipline, your timing, your mindset. You don’t need perfect conditions. You need presence. You need effort. You need that moment where you say, “Alright… enough talking. Let’s go.”
So tie your belt.
Slap hands.
Get to work.
February belongs to the ones who keep showing up.

👏👏👏
The whole of the SCG rose to applaud Usman Khawaja to the crease for his final Test match innings.
England players formed a guard of honour to welcome him. 🤝

Welcome back to KaChi.
We hope everyone had a chance to rest, reset and enjoy a bit of time away.
Our doors open on Monday the 5th and we’re ready to get back to work.
Whether you’re chasing fitness, confidence, or just a solid place to train with good people — this is your gym.
Let’s build momentum together.
See you on the mat

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been an amazing year for KaChi. This year was all about growth, connection, and honouring our roots.
After 30 incredible years, Joe has taken a small step back from ownership — but we’re proud to say he remains our Head BJJ Coach, continuing to guide and inspire on the mats.
We celebrated KaChi’s 30th anniversary with a hugely successful event, welcoming students from across the years to reconnect, train, and celebrate everything KaChi represents. The milestone even caught wider attention, with KaChi featured on the news — a proud moment for our community.
We’ve built a great relationship with our friends at Ace Health & Recovery, enjoying cross-club visits, shared training, and strengthening our wider martial arts community.
It’s been fantastic to see so many students recognised for their hard work and dedication, with several reaching the next level in their journey.
Thank you to every student, coach, past member, and supporter who made 2025 such a special year. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2026.

What an amazing day at KaChi with our 2025 gradings now wrapped up!
Ben, Mason, and Jacob all earned their first stripes, and Taylor smashed it by demonstrating nearly the entire syllabus for his second stripe on his purple belt.
The big news of the day: Mitch levelled up to Brown Belt — a massive and well-deserved achievement!
Congratulations to everyone who graded, and a huge thank you to all our club members who came along to support the team…
And by support, of course, I mean choke the absolute hell out of each other.
Great energy, great effort — proud of you all.

Congratulations to Cooper on achieving a milestone many will never reach. KaChi welcomes its newest blue belt.

Last Judo grading for the year, and I couldn’t be more proud of these two.
Angus and Toran have put in years of mat time, earned multiple national medals, and are always the first to step up when it comes to helping teach and support the club.
Today they absolutely crushed their grading syllabus and kata demonstration.
A huge congratulations to both of you — your hard work, consistency, and leadership show every time you step on the mat.

Another great night on the mats at KaChi. We always love training with our friends from Ace.

Big congratulations to Eishi and Vincent for earning their second stripe, and to Tommy and Alfie for their first stripe.

These are the moments that mean the most as a coach. The belt around your waist represents the standard of our club and the dedication we pour into every student.
Huge congratulations to Elise, Aoshi, and Gabriel on earning their next full belt. You embody the discipline, spirit, and growth we strive for.
Well done, team. You make us all proud.

Well done on your first stripe Henry, doing very well.
