🏆 Darling Downs & South West Grand Champion School!
Our Fairholme Equestrian team has done it again, crowned Grand Champion School and Champion Secondary School at the Interschool Queensland Darling Downs & South West Championships.
A huge congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic weekend of competition and a special shout out to our Equestrian Captain, Jemima Southwood, winning the Summers Family Trophy for Best Allrounder!
Equestrian is truly a team effort, and behind every rider is a village of support. Thank you to our incredible equestrian families and to our dedicated Equestrian Coordinator, Jordyn Herrmann, whose passion continues to inspire and support our girls.
We are so proud, team Fairholme! 💛

💛 'Everything has gone really well since moving away from home. Of course, there are moments where I miss my family and home, but being surrounded by my friends and really nice teachers has made the move much easier.'
Meet Year 9 boarder Chelsea Naris, who joined our Fairholme boarding family earlier this year from Papua New Guinea.
In the latest edition of At Holme, Chelsea shares her experience of settling into boarding life, making new friendships and finding a 'holme' away from home.

Crows Nest National Park to Lake Cressbrook 🥾🗺🍂
Our Year 9-11 Duke of Edinburgh International Award participants embraced the challenge of their Adventurous Journey, developing resilience, teamwork, and leadership along the way.
From navigating trails and planning routes to setting up camp and reflecting on group dynamics, our students demonstrated outstanding collaboration and growth throughout the expedition.
By the final day, they showed increased confidence in decision-making, communication, and outdoor living skills, finishing the journey with stronger peer connections and a great sense of achievement!
A huge thank you to Mr Payton, Mr Lucas and Miss Gould for supporting the girls throughout the journey.

Fairholme Old Girls continue to make their mark on the world stage, and we couldn't be prouder! 💛
🏆🏉 Congratulations to Demi Kennewell (née Hayes, FOG 2015), who was part of the Australian Rugby 7s team that claimed World Championship gold in Spain over the weekend.
🇦🇺🏏 Fairholme Old Girl Georgia Voll (FOG, 2021) has been selected in the Australian Women's T20 World Cup squad. As if that wasn't impressive enough, earlier this year Georgia became just the fourth Australian woman to score a T20I century and is currently ranked the world's No.1 T20I batter!
🔥🏏 And the cricket success keeps coming, with Lilli Hamilton (FOG, 2025) joining Georgia in the 2026/27 Queensland Fire squad.
What incredible role models for our Fairholme girls!

Our Fairholme girls volunteered at the LifeFlight Gala Ball in Toowoomba last Saturday, helping warmly welcome more than 700 guests to the event 💛✨
The evening was a huge success, raising more than $1 million to support LifeFlight’s vital work across our region.
LifeFlight is the Southern Hemisphere’s most advanced aeromedical service, providing rapid response and world-class medical care when it’s needed most.
With many members of the Fairholme community living in rural and remote areas, this service is incredibly important to so many families, and we’re proud to support such a worthwhile cause.
