🚒 We were very excited to have a visit from the Queensland Fire Service last week - our children had such a great time exploring the fire truck, learning about the important work firefighters do, and even having a turn using the hose!

Experiences like this are such a fun and memorable way for our children to learn about the world around them and the people who help keep our community safe.

We had so much fun at our Family Movie Night and Easter Hat Parade! 🍿
With over 150 people attending, it was fantastic to see our Highlands Kindy & Early Learning community come together for a night the whole family could enjoy.

This evening was a great way to celebrate how well the children have settled into their new environment this term, while also creating an opportunity for our families to connect outside of the busy drop-off and pick-up times.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night so special!

Our Summer Vacation Care has been full of adventure as the school holidays continue! 🌞

We’ve explored the Japanese Gardens, turned old records into working clocks with wonderfully messy spin art, and zoomed around on bikes, scooters, and rollerskates. We’ve even had some special reptile visitors - lizards, turtles, and snakes! 🐢

Each day, the children have been enjoying a wide range of experiences that spark creativity, confidence, and connection. We’ve also loved welcoming our Preps into the program - seeing them settle in and build friendships with each other and the older children has been wonderful.

At Highlands, our programs are about more than just care. We know that for many families, getting back into the routine after the Christmas holidays can make it tricky to balance work, family, and quality time together. Our OSHC and Vacation Care programs are designed to feel like a true home-away-from-home, a place where children feel safe, relaxed and genuinely happy while their days are filled with play, friendships, and fun.

Our Summer Vacation Care program is in full swing, and earlier this week we had an exciting visit to the College's Manual Arts shed. With wood offcuts, careful supervision, and plenty of imagination, the children got to cut, sand and craft their very own Christmas decorations. We love seeing their confidence grow as they try new skills!

Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care programs aim to provide a stress-free, home-away-from-home environment where children can feel happy, safe and relaxed. Through play, creativity and active experiences, we support them to unwind, build friendships, practice social skills and discover new life skills every day.

🎄 Our entire Highlands community is invited to join us at Highlands Church for our Christmas celebration services!

Beginning this Sunday 14 December, there’s something exciting happening at all three locations: Middle Ridge, Highfields, and Gatton will each have carols, food, and fun for the kids at every service.

🎆 Then on Sunday 21 there’ll be fireworks and food trucks following our 6.00pm service at Middle Ridge! Everyone is invited to picnic together and enjoy an evening of delicious food, great community, and Christmas cheer, with a festive fireworks display scheduled for approx. 7.30pm.
