Smile, sunshine and a whole lot of athletic action - what a great day at the Athletics Carnival! A huge thank you to Mr Luck who made this day happen as well as staff, students and families. Congratulations to Xavier on taking home the Relay trophy and to Goretti for taking home the Ball Games, Track and Field and overall Athletics Trophy! Every student should be commended for their outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day.

Our Prep–Year 3 students have been making waves in their learning! 🌊🎶
After discovering the famous composer Camille Saint-Saëns and his beautiful piece Carnival of the Animals, students explored the enchanting movement Aquarium. Inspired by the music and the wonderful book Ocean Commotion, they learned fascinating facts about ocean animals before bringing the underwater world to life.
Using puppets, bubbles, movement, and plenty of imagination, students created their own ocean commotion to accompany the music. The classroom was transformed into a lively aquarium filled with creativity, curiosity, and musical magic!

Just a friendly reminder that our Athletics Carnival is coming up next week and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic few days. We begin with the High Jump finals on Wednesday 17 June (9–12 Years), followed by Ball Games on Thursday 18 June (Years 3–6). The main Athletics Carnival will be held at O'Quinn Street Oval on Friday 19 June, with the first races and events commencing at 8:30am (Prep–Year 6). All carnival information, including timetables and the full program, is on the parent portal app. Students and parents are encouraged to wear house colours on Friday, and all students competing in the High Jump or Ball Games should wear their sports uniform. We’re looking forward to an awesome week of participation, teamwork, and school spirit.

Congratulations to our principal, Mr Hannant! He is a Finalist in the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Excellence Awards. We are lucky to have him guiding our school.
