Yesterday, 1S were to engage in a lesson about the process of receiving Communion. So while Mrs O’Brien was in the class, she took the opportunity to recap what it looks like to receive a blessing in church prior to moving onto this next milestone, and conducted the lesson in the yarning circle. This allowed the students to be reverent but then also allowed the students to work in groups surrounded by nature to share their understanding before diving deeper into their learning. It was rewarding to hear the great conversation and collaboration within the class from what they had already learnt from Mrs Spies.
