π Welcome to Highlands Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)!
Coordinator Lynne Henare takes us on a tour through the OSHC space, which has been purposefully designed to feel like a home away from home for Highlanders beyond the school day. It's a relaxed environment where children of all ages can unwind, connect with friends, and enjoy experiences shaped around their interests - from cooking and sewing, to arts and crafts, Lego, and heaps more! π¨
OSHC also provides families with flexibility and support when navigating busy work and school schedules, with care available before school, after school, and during school holidays.

π¨βπ¬ This week, 32 Highlanders from Years 9 and 10 participated in the Darling Downs Science and Engineering Challenge, hosted by University of Southern across three exciting days of competition.
Working together in teams, students engaged in a range of interactive, hands-on Science and Engineering challenges designed to test their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Not only did our students represent the College exceptionally well throughout the event, we are also proud to announce that Highlands was named the overall regional winner! π

πββοΈ Congratulations to Year 8 student Grace, who placed third at the recent Queensland Athletics All Schools Cross Country Championships in Ipswich. She ran 4km on a very hilly course at Limestone Park, and her incredible effort guaranteed her a spot on the Queensland team which will compete at the Australian Cross Country Championships later in the year.
