Empowering women in a changing world. We are a proud Mercy College, established in 1873, and located in the heart of city.

Our community is committed to the holistic learning of young women from Years 7 to 12. Our proud history is reflected in our commitment to values instilled by the Sisters of Mercy based on their founder, Catherine McAuley, and by striving to live out the College Motto, “Integrity is our strength”.

ARTS IN FOCUS | Our Year 9 and 10 Drama students recently took to the stage to delight a very special audience – students from St Saviour’s Primary in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2!

Across the semester, our students have written and developed original children’s theatre performances, reimagining beloved fairy tales with creativity and flair. The result? Three vibrant, engaging plays full of audience interaction, humour, colourful characters, and theatrical magic.

From call-and-response moments to slapstick comedy and breaking the fourth wall, our performers truly brought their stories to life. And when a few cast members were unwell, others stepped up in true Mercy spirit, showing resilience, teamwork, and professionalism. We are so proud!

A huge thank you to our wonderful primary students for being such an enthusiastic and respectful audience a a special mention to our wonderful Apple Tree, we loved sharing this experience with you!

This is an amazing opportunity to immerse your daughter in all that our College has to offer. Starting the day in our Callaghan Centre, visiting students will gather in a home-class style setting with our friendly Mercy Girls to be addressed by our Principal, Mrs Jessica Wade, before heading through rotating activities and enjoying a catered morning tea in Dublin Place.

THROWBACK THURSDAY | As we approach Fandom Day - one of our favourite days of the year for both staff and students, we take a look back at last year's event success.

Last year, as a College we raised $783 for Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice and one of only three children’s hospices in Australia. Through gold coin donations, food and drink stalls we were able to help support hundreds of families from right across Queensland and make precious moments count when time is short.

Let's see what we can raise this year!

Meg's photograph, “Inside the Shearing Shed,” was recognised with a Very Highly Commended award in the Under 18s category, sponsored by Bel’s Framing & Photo Pro. This is a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive field.

Having always enjoyed photography, Meg has seen her passion grow significantly over the past year. Her dedication, creativity, and willingness to develop her skills are clearly reflected in this outstanding piece of work.
