What a fantastic day for our Dance Teams at the Border District Eisteddfod in Stanthorpe yesterday!

Our students represented the school with outstanding performances, teamwork and professionalism, achieving some incredible results across all divisions. Along the way, there was even time for a quick tourist stop at the iconic Big Apple in Applethorpe! 🍎

Year 9 Street Art Tour 🎨

Year 9 Visual Art students went on a tour of the CBD recently. Students explored Toowoomba’s architecture and murals, capturing inspiration for their own future paintings. 🎨🌇📸

Our TSHS Concert Band and combined Strings ensemble with Highfields both achieved Silver Awards, showcasing their dedication, teamwork and musical excellence. A fantastic achievement and a wonderful performance by all students involved. Well done! 👏

The Year 10 Fitness classes recently visited CrossFit Confront, where owner/operator and Toowoomba State High School alumnus Zach Kaddatz gave students a hands-on tour of the facility. Students gained valuable insight into industry pathways while building their knowledge and skills in current fitness trends.

Congratulations to our outstanding Year 8 and Year 10 students who recently competed in the Maths Team Challenge!

Our Year 8 team achieved an impressive 2nd place, while our Year 10 team secured 3rd place in a highly challenging competition. These fantastic results are a credit to the students’ problem-solving skills, teamwork and dedication.

Our Dance Teams recently travelled to the Kingaroy Dance Eisteddfod and represented the school with incredible energy, teamwork and professionalism. The students performed brilliantly across all sections and achieved some fantastic results:

• Open Lyrical – Highly Commended

The teams were outstanding both on and off the stage and we are so proud of the dedication, talent and enthusiasm they brought to the competition. Congratulations to all students involved on a fantastic achievement!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Day! We were thrilled to welcome such a huge number of families through our gates and showcase all that our school community has to offer. It was a fantastic event filled with excitement, connection and school spirit.

Congratulations to Rebecca, who recently competed in Cairns as a member of the Darling Downs School Sport Squash Team. Rebecca had an outstanding tournament and was selected in the Queensland 13–15 Years Squash Team.
