🚁🔥 It’s that time of year again when the children get to experience the excitement of the big water Helicopters which past right over the top of our house. 🚁💦

Being in such a prime location, we are lucky enough to watch these incredible helicopters take off each morning and return each afternoon. It’s certainly an exciting experience for the children, watching them fly overhead and seeing the important work they do. 💛

While we enjoy this special experience from afar, our thoughts are very much with the Plainslands and South Ripley communities and everyone affected by the recent fires events. ❤️‍🩹

A huge thank you to the incredible crews who are out there fighting the fires and helping protect our communities. These magnificent machines and the brave people operating them are truly amazing. 🚁❤️

🌿💚 Welcome Back to Little Greenwattles Family Day Care! 💚🌿

The wait is finally over—we're so excited to welcome our Little Greenwattles families back! 🥰

After a short break and an exciting transition, our doors are officially open again, and we can't wait to fill our days with laughter, adventures, learning, and plenty of fun.

As we begin this new chapter with Inspired Family Day Care, we'll continue to provide the warm, nurturing environment you know and love, with a stronge focus on:

🌿 Bush adventures
🦋 Child-led exploration
🤝 Community connections
🌳 Outdoor play and safe risk-taking

Every day is an opportunity for children to explore, create, discover, build confidence, and simply enjoy the freedom of childhood.

To all of our wonderful families—thank you for your patience, kindness, and ongoing support during this transition. Your encouragement has meant so much, and I'm incredibly grateful to have you on this journey with me. ❤️

Captain Cook have another look @ Cobb n Co

Join us at Little Cobbers next week as we celebrate Have Another Look Captain Cook – our annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Our curious under fives will explore the Torres Strait Islands flag through a fun, hands-on craft activity while discovering the meaning behind its colours and symbols.

🌿 Arrive early at 9am on Monday to experience the Smoking Ceremony, or stay afterwards to explore a special display of First Nations artefacts not usually on public display.

🌿✨ With every ending comes a new beginning… ✨🌿

Tomorrow marks the end of our journey with Empowered Family Day Care, as the scheme sadly closes its doors. While it is never easy to say goodbye, I am incredibly grateful for the support, friendships, and opportunities that have been a part of our journey over the past three years. 🩷

As one chapter closes, another exciting adventure begins!

I am thrilled to share that Little Greenwattles Family Day Care has found a wonderful new home with Inspired Family Day Care. 🌿

With their guidance and support, our service will continue to grow with an even stronger focus on nature-based learning, bush adventures, community connections, sustainability, and child-led exploration. More than ever, children will be encouraged to get muddy, take safe risks, climb, explore, create, problem-solve, and develop at their own pace while simply enjoying the freedom to be children. 🌿🍂🦋

During this transition, Little Greenwattles Family Day Care will be closed from 27th June and will reopen on 4th August, 2026.

I would like to thank all of my families for their patience, understanding, and ongoing support throughout this change. I am excited to welcome everyone back and begin this new chapter together.
