🍩 Happy Donut Day! 🍩

Today at Bask City… we celebrated Donut Day with our amazing educators! As a small token of appreciation, our team enjoyed some delicious donuts to thank them for the care, dedication, and passion they bring to our centre every day.

We are so grateful for the incredible work our educators do in supporting, nurturing, and inspiring the children in our care. Thank you for everything you do.. you are truly appreciated!

🌟 Team Member of the Month – Miss Karen

Our wonderful Caretaker, Miss Karen takes immense pride in her role and consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication and attention to detail in everything she does at Bask City. We are incredibly fortunate to have her with us four days a week, supporting our team and ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for the children in our care.

No task is ever too much for Karen. Her hard work and positive attitude do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything she contributes each day.

❄️ Welcome to Winter! ❄️
To celebrate the official start of winter, we will be having a cosy PJ Week. From Monday, children are invited to wear their favourite pyjamas as we embrace the cooler weather and all things warm and comfy.
❄️ As you could imagine the team are really looking forward to this week ❄️

Today we hosted the BIGGEST MORNING TEA for the children… and what a hit it was! 🧁🥖🥛
“Can we have a fancy lunch also please?” 🤣 was the feedback from M4 so safe to say it was a huge success!

The children and educators were encouraged to wear yellow, and enjoyed coming together to share a high tea experience, conversations and lots of laughter with their friends.

It was a beautiful opportunity to encourage kindness, connection, and a sense of community within our learning environment 💛

As a service, we value coming together as a community to help raise awareness and support for those impacted by cancer. 🫶🏻💛🫶🏻

Welcome to the sensory “Sweet Station” in the Meadow Room 🍦🍭

This morning the children explored a variety of textures and resources presented in individual little tuff trays. The experience sparked lots of curiosity, creativity and imaginative play as the children mixed, scooped, poured and investigated the different sensory materials.

This playful experience all stemmed from one of their friends arriving with “ice creams” on their shoes, inspiring conversations and ideas around sweet treats and imaginative creations. 🍨✨

Through sensory play, the children were developing fine motor skills, communication, creativity and confidence as they explored alongside their peers. What a fun and engaging morning of learning! 💛

🐣 Henny Penny Hatching has arrived! 🐣

Our little learners are so excited to begin exploring the life cycle of a chicken through this hands on and meaningful experience. Over the coming days, the children will observe the eggs closely as we wait patiently for our fluffy chicks to hatch 🥚➡️🐥

This experience encourages curiosity, wonder, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of how living things grow and change. We can’t wait to share this special journey with you all and watch the children’s excitement as new life begins 💛

Our Hub team are busy exploring food scraps in new and creative ways to support children’s learning about sustainability, caring for the environment, and reducing waste. These experiences align with EYLF Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, while also supporting Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing and Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners through hands-on, meaningful learning.
