🌟 Happy Educators Day! 🌟

Today, we celebrated the wonderful educators who make up our amazing Glenvale team! 💕👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Every day, our educators create meaningful learning experiences, encourage children to explore, discover and try new things, all while providing plenty of comfort, support, laughter and cuddles along the way. Through their patience, dedication and genuine care, they help our children feel safe, confident, supported and valued, making a lasting difference in the lives of our children and families. 🌈❤️

Our Kindy friends also joined in the celebrations in their own special way! 🎨🥰 They created beautiful portraits of some of their educators, capturing the special relationships they share with the people who nurture, encourage and support them as they learn and grow each day.

To our incredible Glenvale educators — thank you for the passion, care and love you bring to our centre every day. We are so lucky to have you! 💐💕

Today we’re celebrating our incredible educators at Glenvale and all the little things they do each day that make such a big difference.

For every cuddle, every laugh, every little win celebrated and every moment spent making our children feel safe, loved and supported — thank you.

Our September Events Calendar is filled with lots of fun, meaningful and exciting days for our children, families and educators to enjoy together! 💛

Here are some of the special events happening throughout the month:

👩‍🏫 Educator’s Day – Wednesday 2nd September
A special day to celebrate and recognise our amazing educators and the care, dedication and love they bring to our children each and every day. 💐

💙 Father’s Day – Sunday 6th September
Wishing all of our wonderful dads, grandfathers and father figures a very happy Father’s Day! 💙

🤪 Crazy Hair Day – Tuesday 8th September
Get creative and have some fun with your hair! We can’t wait to see everyone’s wild and wonderful hairstyles! 🌈

💛 R U OK? Day – Thursday 10th September
We invite all children and families to come dressed in yellow as we recognise this important day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to talk about the importance of checking in with one another, starting conversations and reminding those around us that they are never alone. 💛

🏴‍☠️ Talk Like a Pirate Day – Friday 18th September
Ahoy, mateys! Get ready for a day of pirate-themed fun! Children are welcome to wear their favourite pirate outfits, hats or accessories and join us for some swashbuckling adventures! ⚓️🦜

🏆 Footy Colours Day – Tuesday 29th September
Show your team spirit and come dressed in the colours of your favourite sporting team! 🏉⚽️🏀

The Book Week fun continues at Charley’s Place Glenvale as we explore this year’s theme, “A Symphony of Stories”! 📚🎶

Each day, we’re treated to a wonderful surprise as our children, families and educators bring a different book character to life! ✨

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Our children have been enjoying a variety of engaging Book Week experiences, including our Elmer the Elephant craft, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt cooking experience, and becoming storytellers themselves by illustrating and sharing their very own stories. 🐘🐻📖

Yesterday, our Kindy & Pre-Kindy children had a very special visitor… Beetrix the Blue-Banded Bee! 🐝💙

The children enjoyed a wonderful incursion filled with dance, storytelling and play, while learning all about bees and the important role they play in our environment. 🌻🌿

Through this engaging experience, the children developed their understanding of nature, sustainability and the importance of caring for the world around us. 🌏✨

The beginning of Book Week at Charley’s has been an absolute blast! 📚✨

We’ve loved seeing so many of our children, families and staff members bring their favourite book characters to life!

From magical storybook characters to beloved classics, our centre has been filled with creativity, imagination and plenty of smiles. 💕📖

Next week, we’ll be celebrating Book Week at Charley’s Place Glenvale, exploring this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories.” 📚🎶

We invite our children and families to come dressed as their favourite book characters and join us in celebrating the magic of books and storytelling! ✨

Book Week is an exciting time for children to discover new stories, develop their imagination, build language and communication skills, and explore the joy of reading through play and creativity. 📖💭

“We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re gonna catch a big one!” 🎶

This week, our friends in the Farm Room have been immersed in the much-loved story, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! 📖🐻

Their excitement for the story led them on a wonderful sensory adventure as they explored swishy-swishy “grass” 🌱, splish-splashed through a “river” 💦, squelched through icky-sticky “mud” 🪵 and stumbled and tripped through the big, dark “forest” 🌳.

At the end of their journey, they discovered a dark “cave”… and guess what they found inside? A TEDDY BEAR! 🐻🎉

What an exciting hands-on learning experience as we get ready to celebrate Book Week next week! 📚✨

Through storytelling, sensory play and imaginative experiences, our children are developing language, creativity, confidence and a love of books and stories. ❤️

🪱🥕✨ While checking in on our worm farm this morning, we made a delightful discovery! Some of our carrot tops had sprouted! So today, we made the most of the beautiful sunshine by rolling up our sleeves and getting our green thumbs ready as we prepared the garden bed and planted our carrots.

As the children dug, planted, and cared for the soil, they explored where food comes from, discovered what plants need to grow, and practiced patience, responsibility, and teamwork. 🌱 💛

We can’t wait to watch our new plants grow, and to find out what we can learn together along the way!
