This week we shared a special ANZAC Day experience with our children as we introduced “Stan the ANZAC Man.” 🌿

Stan was created to honour the brave soldiers who have served and sacrificed for our country, and to show our appreciation for a very special member of our centre community—a father who proudly attends pick-up in his uniform. His service and dedication inspired this meaningful activity.

Our educators prepared a cardboard base, and the children explored creativity by using sponges to apply camouflage patterns in shades of green and brown. Through this hands-on experience, the children developed hand-eye coordination and colour recognition, while also building their language skills as they described their actions and colours.

Most importantly, this was a collaborative experience. The children worked side by side, sharing tools, taking turns, and contributing to a group creation—supporting the development of teamwork and social connections.

We are proud to create opportunities that foster both learning and a sense of community, while introducing respectful ways to acknowledge important events like ANZAC Day. 💚
