Recently our toddlers joined the older children for a wild adventure with WildCall Wildlife!

Maddy brought along some amazing Australian animals — Sharpie the crocodile, Bluey the blue-tongue lizard, Squirtle the turtle, Tinkerbell the snake, Nemo the fruit bat, and Rosie the possum — and the children were fascinated! 👀💛

We waved hello and goodbye, learned where each animal lives and what they eat, and even got our bodies moving! We slithered like snakes, snapped like crocs, poked out our tongues like Bluey, and swam like turtles. 🐍🐊🦎🐢

Some children chose not to engage with the animals, and their choices were fully respected — supporting each child’s agency and comfort. Everyone showed patience, curiosity, and respect, taking turns for gentle pats and enjoying the experience in their own way.

A wonderful, memorable day exploring Australia’s incredible wildlife!🌿💛

Our little chefs had a fantastic time celebrating Shrove Tuesday with a special pancake cooking activity!

We started with a small group discussion about the ingredients — flour, sugar, eggs, and milk — exploring where they come from and how they help us make our delicious pancakes. The children listened carefully and did a brilliant job waiting their turn.

Then it was time to get hands-on! The toddlers worked together to scoop, pour, mix, and take turns, concentrating hard as they carefully measured the flour and sugar, poured in the milk and eggs, and stirred everything together.
It was such a lovely way to develop fine motor skills, teamwork, early language, and cooperation — and, of course, enjoy a tasty treat together! 💛🥞

On Tuesday, our nursery and toddler friends were greeted with a giant sheet of bubble wrap hiding colourful paint underneath — and the curiosity was instant! As they stomped, crawled and pressed, they listened to the satisfying pops and watched in awe as paint blobs spread beneath their hands and feet.

Then came the cars… 🚗 Bright tracks appeared as they rolled them across the surface, discovering that the harder they pushed, the bigger the pops!
Sensory fun, creative exploration and lots of giggles — learning through play at its best. 💛

🌿 Little Gardeners at Work! 💧
Today our children enjoyed watering the garden, caring for our plants and learning how living things grow. Through this hands-on experience, the children developed a sense of responsibility, connection to nature, and an understanding of how we can care for our environment.

We love watching our children learn through meaningful, real-life experiences 🌼

The kindy children were excited to see the tuff tray set up with goop, shaving foam and jelly, containing various zombie 🧟‍♂️ pictures and tweezers for the children to find. Once all the zombies were discovered, the activity transformed into a fun sensory experience.

🌸✨ Outdoor Kitchen Potion Magic! ✨🌸
Today, the kids dove into a world of creativity and science with our outdoor kitchen potions! They explored an enchanting mix of flowers, spices, and shimmering glitters — all blended with bi-carb soda, vinegar, and dish soap to create magical bubbling potions that fizzed and bubbled with excitement. 🧪💥

It was amazing to watch their imaginations soar as they mixed, stirred, and experimented, learning through play and nature. Pure joy, curiosity, and a little bit of sparkle! 🌿🌼
Perfect for a sunny day of sensory fun and hands-on science. Who else loves mixing up a little magic outdoors? ✨💫

🎶 Spontaneous music moment! 🥁

Today, our nursery children turned the water tray into a drum and treated us to an impromptu drumming session! With big smiles and lots of giggles, they tapped out rhythms together, inviting their friends to join in.

It was such a joyful moment full of creativity, teamwork, and fun — just one of the many ways we learn through play every day! 💛

Our curious little explorers had a goopy good time with one of our favourite sensory activities — cornflour and water play! 💧✨

Using sifters, spoons, and their hands, the children watched in wonder as the mixture dripped, dropped, and oozed through tiny holes — changing from solid to liquid and back again right before their eyes! 👀👐

This fun and slightly messy activity isn't just entertaining — it supports:
✅ Fine motor skills
✅ Scientific thinking
✅ Language development
✅ Sensory exploration

We love watching our little learners grow through play! 💚

🪵✨ Whittling Wonders at Bush Kindy! ✨🪵

Thursday's bush kindy adventure with Chrissy and Tara from Playful by Nature introduced a brand new skill — whittling!🌿

We kicked things off with a super important safety briefing, making sure all our little bush explorers knew how to use their tools with care and confidence. Then, one by one, each child had the chance to whittle their very own masterpiece from wood!

From pencils to self-portraits, the creativity was flowing and the wood shavings were flying. It was incredible to see the focus, pride, and joy on each child’s face as they shaped their creations.

A huge thank you to Chrissy and Tara for bringing this hands-on, nature-based experience to life. The kids (and adults!) had an absolute blast! 🌳❤️
