Today was all about slimy, squishy fun as our little learners explored blue slime with their dinosaurs! There were roars of excitement, lots of imagination, and a few very messy hands 😄

Sensory play like this supports creativity, confidence, and exploration—plus it’s just so much fun!

We think it’s safe to say… the dinos loved it too 🫶

What a beautiful day celebrating Easter

Our little learners absolutely shined as they proudly showed off their incredible creations. From bunny ears to bright, colourful eggs and flowers, the creativity was amazing! 🌼✨

We loved seeing the children’s confidence, smiles and excitement as they paraded with their friends 🥰

Today at daycare we celebrated Dr Seuss Dress-Up Day, and what a wonderful day it was! Our educators and children came dressed as their favourite characters, bringing the magical world of stories to life throughout our centre.

From silly hats to colourful costumes, the rooms were filled with imagination, laughter, and lots of storytelling fun inspired by the beloved books of Dr. Seuss

Today our Kindy friends had a very special visit from Craig from The Googabiny Show!

Craig shared culture, storytelling, music and movement with the children, creating such a meaningful and engaging experience. The children were captivated as they followed along, listened carefully and joined in with actions and sounds.

Experiences like this help us build understanding, respect and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in a way that is hands-on and age appropriate. ❤️💛🖤

✨🧚‍♀️ Fairy Tale Dress Up Day at Freckles! 👑🐉

What a magical day we had at daycare as all our little stars came dressed as their favourite fairy tale characters! 💫

We spotted princesses, fairies, pirates, knights, Little Red Riding Hoods and even a few magical surprises along the way! 🏰✨ The children loved showing off their costumes, sharing stories about their characters, and using their imaginations during play.

Days like these are so special full of creativity, confidence, laughter and lots of fun! 💖

Thank you to our wonderful families for helping make the day so magical. We absolutely loved seeing everyone join in! 🌈

🍦 Bubble Fun at Daycare! 🍦🫧

Today our little learners enjoyed a sensory “ice-cream” experience with bubbly pink foam! 💗

Using colourful bowls and scoops, the children explored pouring, scooping, mixing and feeling the soft bubbles between their fingers. This type of sensory play supports:

✨ Fine motor development
✨ Hand-eye coordination
✨ Early imaginative play
✨ Social skills as they play side by side

There were lots of giggles, curious expressions and messy hands — just the way we love it! 💦💛

🌈 Creative Outdoor Fun 🎨
Today we set up a big piece of cardboard outside and let the children’s creativity run free! With paintbrushes in hand and plenty of space to explore, they enjoyed expressing themselves, making marks, and experimenting with colours.

Open-ended art like this builds confidence, imagination, and fine motor skills — and most of all, it’s FUN! 😊

🥭 Mango Smoothie Magic 🥭

Today our little chefs got hands-on making delicious mango smoothies! Using child-safe knives, the children practised cutting, scooping and exploring the texture of fresh mangoes before blending them into a yummy drink.

Activities like this support:

✨ independence and confidence
✨ healthy food awareness
✨ and lots of sensory learning

Best part? They were so proud of what they made (and loved taste-testing too 😉).
