At Freckles Kindy and Learning Centre, we believe early childhood should feel like an extension of home, a place where children feel safe, secure, loved and truly known.

Being a smaller, homely centre allows us to build genuine relationships with our children and families. We know their little personalities, their routines, what makes them laugh, what comforts them and all the little things that make them them.

Our days are filled with cuddles, laughter, play, learning and plenty of those beautiful everyday moments that make childhood so special.

At the heart of everything we do is one simple thing…our wonderful children.

Because to us, childcare isn’t just about providing care. It’s about creating a place where children feel like they belong. ❤️

📚✨ BOOK WEEK AT FRECKLES! ✨📚

What a fun-filled week celebrating the magic of books, stories and imagination!

Our Freckles children and educators have loved dressing up as some of their favourite book characters and bringing our much-loved stories to life. From superheroes and princesses to cheeky characters and childhood classics, there were plenty of smiles, laughs and amazing costumes!

Book Week is such a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading from an early age and remind our little learners that books can take us anywhere.

A huge thank you to our families and educators for getting into the spirit and making Book Week so much fun for our children.

Our Kindy children had a fantastic time visiting Holy Name School for their Under 8s Day adventure!
There was so much excitement as the children stepped into a new school environment and discovered some of the wonderful things that happen at “big school.”
Throughout the visit, the children explored different learning spaces and took part in a range of fun and engaging activities. A definite highlight was exploring a real fire truck , meeting and chatting with police officers, and investigating some of the special equipment they use to help keep our community safe.
It was wonderful to see the children asking questions, sharing their ideas and showing so much curiosity and confidence as they explored a new environment alongside their friends.
Experiences like this are such a valuable part of our Kindy program. They provide opportunities for children to build confidence and independence, make connections with their wider community and begin developing a sense of familiarity and belonging within a school environment as they prepare for their future transition to Prep.
A very big thank you to the staff and students at Holy Name School for welcoming our Kindy children and making their visit such a fun and memorable experience!

Today we would like to take a moment to celebrate and appreciate our wonderful chef Gino. Every day, Gino creates delicious, nutritious, and thoughtfully prepared meals that help keep our children happy, healthy, and energised.

Beyond the amazing food, our chef brings care, kindness, and creativity into the kitchen. Each meal is made with love, ensuring our children enjoy a variety of flavours while learning the importance of healthy eating.

Thank you for the dedication, passion, and warmth you bring to our centre every day. Your hard work helps make mealtimes a special part of our children’s day, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

Happy Birthday to our incredible chef Gino — we hope your day is as special as the care you share with us all!

There is something truly special about a long-standing educator. Their years of dedication represent so much more than experience—they reflect trust, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to children, families, and their team. They help shape the culture of a centre, build lasting relationships, and create a genuine sense of belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.

For more than two decades, Miss Bianca has been a familiar face, a trusted educator, and an important part of so many childhood memories. We are incredibly grateful for her passion, loyalty, and the positive impact she continues to make each and every day.
Thank you, Miss Bianca, for 20 wonderful years. What an amazing legacy to be part of.

💙🦖 Dino slime day! 🦖💙

Today was all about slimy, squishy fun as our little learners explored blue slime with their dinosaurs! There were roars of excitement, lots of imagination, and a few very messy hands 😄

Sensory play like this supports creativity, confidence, and exploration—plus it’s just so much fun!

We think it’s safe to say… the dinos loved it too 🫶

What a beautiful day celebrating Easter

Our little learners absolutely shined as they proudly showed off their incredible creations. From bunny ears to bright, colourful eggs and flowers, the creativity was amazing! 🌼✨

Thank you to all our families for your time, effort and creativity – the hats were truly egg-stra special! 🐣💛

We loved seeing the children’s confidence, smiles and excitement as they paraded with their friends 🥰
