Our centre will be closed today, Thursday the 25th of December and tomorrow, Friday the 26th of December for the Christmas and Boxing Day Public Holidays.

We look forward to seeing you all when we reopen as per our usual trading hours on Monday the 29th of December.

We hope our families have a safe and lovely long weekend.

🦷 Dentist Visit at Childcare Today! 🦷

Today, Farren and Erin from Delivering Dental visited our Centre and spent time with the children learning about healthy teeth and good oral hygiene. The children talked about brushing their teeth, making healthy food choices, and caring for their bodies in a fun and engaging way. 😁

Some of our little learners were lucky enough to have a turn in the dental chair, and experience what visiting the dentist is all about.

This experience supports the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), particularly Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing, as children are developing an understanding of healthy practices and learning how to take care of their bodies. It also supports Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, by engaging with a community professional in a positive and meaningful way.

A big milestone for our little ones—kindergarten graduation 🎓✨

This year was full of learning, laughter, friendships, and growth. They've worked hard, showed kindness, and had so much fun along the way.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve accomplished. Watching you grow has been the greatest joy, and we can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.

🧁 Playdough Cupcake Fun! 🧁
Our Nursery 1 friends enjoyed a fun playdough cupcake role-play experience this week! They explored soft textures, practiced squishing and rolling, and experimented with decorating their own “cupcakes.”

This simple sensory play supports fine motor development, creativity, and early imaginative play — all through hands-on fun.

🌺 Remembrance Day | 11 November 🌺
Today the children engaged in a range of thoughtful arts, craft, and sensory experiences as we honoured Remembrance Day.

Through age-appropriate learning, we explored the meaning of the red poppy and why we take a moment to pause and reflect. The children created beautiful poppy artwork, enjoyed sensory play inspired by the colours of Remembrance, and participated in gentle discussions about peace, kindness, and gratitude.

Did you know children develop both fine and gross motor skills through everyday play? 🧠

🖍 Fine motor skills involve small movements such as holding pencils, threading beads, or buttoning clothes.

🏃‍♂️ Gross motor skills use large muscle groups by running, jumping, climbing, and balancing!

At our centre, we create fun opportunities for both, helping children build strength, coordination, and confidence every day.
