Why do some children wiggle, fidget, spin, or constantly move? Why do other children completely avoid movement and might cry on the swings or in the car?

It all has to do with their vestibular system. It's a tiny system that lives near the middle ear and is responsible for coordinating and processing a lot of information between brain and body.

It's important to be able to read your child's signals so you know what their brain is telling you and you can give them what they need.

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy writing a much needed book about COVID and the subsequent effects on our children. I have never seen the rate of anxiety, depression and fear that I am seeing now both in my personal and professional life.

The book is entitled:
"The SILENT Pandemic After COVID-19: What You Won't Notice and What Your Children Can't Tell You."

It is being edited now and will be available by 1 January 2022 as an ebook, print book and audiobook (maybe even earlier if I can wing it 🙂 )

I will also be doing free short videos on YouTube with information from the book but have decided to offer the information as a workshop. This would be free of charge for anybody associated with my page and Friends of anybody that may be interested.

This will be a zoom workshop and will last for about an hour. It will be the same information in the book but a summary because the book is much more in depth and goes into all the recent research studies that have been done etc.

The workshop has a bucket load of relevant information so parents will understand WHY it is happening and HOW to help (with some strategies).

I will also be offering this as a paid workshop and also a 1/2 day seminar. But I want to offer a couple of the workshops for free for parents associated with this page and any of your friends that may be interested.

I have been busy working on a passion project that I am really excited about. COVID has been difficult for all of us, but I believe that it has been hardest on children.

In my professional and personal life I have never seen the rate of anxiety and depression among young children that I am seeing now.

I am creating an online seminar (that will be recorded so you can watch it whenever you like) that looks at research studies that have come out of COVID and the "why" behind what is happening with our children. I then look at various child development issues that have been impacted and give strategies that parents can use in their own homes to help.

This is will be a 1 hour seminar that will be free to everyone. No-one will have to sign up to anything, it will just be free. It is needed.

My hope is that everyone will share it through social media to reach as many people as possible. Even though the strategies are aimed at children, the same will apply to teens and adults so it will be useful information to anyone.

I am aiming for a release date of 1 January 2022.

It will be posted on my new website:

In the meantime I have written an article about this subject to give you some information while you are waiting.

My kids have found out they are going back to University in Hawaii in August so while my home will be mine again, Looking at that empty room will be hard. I will miss them!
