Our Years 3 and 4 students had a fantastic time at the recent Street Science show and workshops! The sessions were hands-on, exciting and full of discovery. Our Year 3 students took part in the “Hardcore Heat Workshop”, exploring the science of heat in a fun and engaging way. Year 4 students enjoyed “Rocket Science: The Forces of Flight Workshop”, learning about forces through exciting rocket-themed activities. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and loved bringing science to life! 🚀🔥

Our students have a fantastic week celebrating the power of books as we shine a spotlight on the joy of reading. 🌟

Some of the highlights will include welcoming Author & Illustrator on Wednesday - Dr Cameron Stelzer, our Book Fair on Thursday and Friday and our Dress Up parade on Friday.

Another fantastic Meal Deal day was held on Thursday! Thank you to our Year 3 parents for volunteering their time to make the day a success for all of our students to enjoy. 🌭😋

Congratulations to our St Ignatius Year 5 and Year 6 debaters on a wonderful first round of QDU debates. The topic of the debate was “That educational public exhibits should be completely free (e.g. museums, art galleries, libraries).” Our Year 5 team won their debate arguing the negative, while our Year 6 team achieved a very close
second-place finish arguing the affirmative. Both teams spoke with confidence, responded well to feedback, and represented St Ignatius with pride. Bring on Round 3 debates!

Congratulations to our choirs and bands who performed at QCMF last Friday. Both our choirs - Year 3 and our Intermediate choir group received Silver Awards and both our Year 4 Beginner Band and Year 5/6 Concert Band received Gold Awards. What a fantastic result, especially from our Year 4 band who have only been learning their instruments for a short period of time. Ms Whitehead, Ms Gilmour and all our staff congratulate them on these wonderful results. We are St Iggys proud!🌟🎶
