Our boys looked sharp and represented the school with pride at this year’s Semi Formal celebration!

It was a fantastic evening filled with great food, fantastic music and plenty of dancing. A special thank you to all the wonderful dates who accompanied our boys for the evening — you helped make the event an absolute highlight of the school social calendar!

Our College and House Prefects play a crucial role in shaping campus culture, setting a high benchmark and inspiring boys across every year level to strive for excellence and thrive in more ways than one.

From guiding their Houses to representing the Green, White and Black in the wider community, our Prefects have been entrusted with carrying forward our traditions, fostering brotherhood and exemplifying what it means to be a Gentleman of Honour.

Each of these young men has been selected for his character, resilience and commitment to lifting those around him.

What can educators teach doctors about learning?

Headmaster Mr Andre Casson was recently invited to present at the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Queensland Annual Scientific Conference, where this year's theme, Our Love of Learning, brought together leading medical professionals to explore the future of their field. Sharing the stage with experts in healthcare, Andre spoke on The Changing Learning Landscape: What Educators Can Teach Us About Learning and the role schools play in preparing young people for a future defined by rapid technological change, artificial intelligence and occupations that, in many cases, do not yet exist.

It was a valuable opportunity to contribute to a conversation beyond the education sector and to share the thinking that shapes a BBC education. While technology will continue to transform the world around us, our responsibility remains the same: developing young men of character who can think critically, adapt confidently, embrace lifelong learning and lead with integrity.

BBC's new Early Years Deck has been thoughtfully designed to support learning, wellbeing and connection to nature. Linking directly to Prep and Year 2 classrooms, the space encourages hands-on exploration, collaboration and independence while providing a calming outdoor extension of the school day.

Introducing our Middle Leaders for Semester Two.
 
Our Student Leaders play a vital part of College life, representing the voice of their peers and encouraging boys across the school to develop leadership skills.
 
Exemplary models of characters, our Middle Leaders will run service initiatives within the lower Secondary School, including Containers for Change and the Shoe Shine Chair. They will also support the Year 6 cohort in making a smooth transition into Year 7.

For six students in BBC's inaugural High Performer Program, it's meant learning from experts, refining habits, setting ambitious goals and gaining fresh perspectives from fellow high achievers.
