💗Celebrating Bella💗

Today we celebrated our beautiful Bella on her last day with us before she heads off on maternity leave to welcome her second baby girl!👶🏼🎀

We are so excited for Bella and her growing family and can’t wait to hear all about the newest little addition. 💕 We will definitely miss having Bella here with us, but we know she will be busy enjoying all those precious newborn cuddles. 🥰

We are wishing you all the very best for the arrival of your beautiful baby girl and this exciting new chapter.💗 We hope you enjoy every moment with your little family and your two beautiful girls! 🎀👶🏼

Today we celebrate and appreciate the amazing educators who bring so much care, love, patience and joy to our children every single day. 💕

We are so grateful to have such a wonderful team of ladies as part of our family. Each of you brings something special to our centre, and the dedication you show to the children does not go unnoticed. 🥰

📚✨ Book Week Fun!✨📚

What a wonderful Book Week we have had! 📖💛 All the children had so much fun dressing up as their favourite book characters and bringing their favourite stories to life. From princesses and superheroes to beloved storybook characters, we loved seeing everyone’s amazing costumes and big smiles! 🌟

The children enjoyed celebrating their love of books, sharing stories with their friends and showing off their special costumes. 📚🥰

And it wasn’t just the children having all the fun… our educators joined in too! 👩‍🏫🧑‍🏫🎭 We loved dressing up alongside the children and making Book Week extra special.

Thank you to all our families for helping make Book Week such a fun and memorable celebration! 💕📚✨

📚✨Flying Bookworm Theatre Company✨📚

On Tuesday, we were so excited to welcome Chris and Alanis from the Flying Bookworm Theatre Company to our centre for a fun filled morning of storytelling and theatre! 🎭📖

The children loved watching three wonderful stories come to life Custard the Dragon, The three little pigs and The 3 Billy goat gruff.🐉🐷🐐

The children also had the opportunity to come up and help Chris and Alanis during the show, joining in with the stories and becoming part of the action. They had so much fun interacting, participating and using their imaginations! 🌟

It was wonderful to see the children’s confidence, excitement and love of storytelling shine throughout the performance. 💙📚

A big thank you to Chris and Alanis for bringing so much fun, laughter and magic to our centre! 🌈🎭✨

🌟Kinder PE Visits🌟

Our Kinder children have been enjoying their monthly visits to Tookgarook Primary School! 🏫💙

Over the past two months, the children have had the opportunity to visit the school and take part in a fun PE lesson with Mr Smithett. They are always so excited to go over, join in and explore the school environment. 🏃‍♀️⚽️🤸‍♂️

For the children who will be heading off to school soon, this has been a wonderful experience. It has helped them become more familiar and comfortable in a school setting while building their confidence and excitement for the next step in their learning journey.

These visits are also a great way for our Kinder children to connect with and become part of their local community, building relationships and creating positive experiences within their local school. 🤝💙

We still have one more visit to go, and we can’t wait! ⭐️

🌊 Seaweed Sally Marine Incursion🐚

On Monday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Seaweed Sally from Southern Ocean Education for an exciting and interactive marine education incursion.

The children had the opportunity to explore a variety of marine creatures and natural ocean treasures through a hands on learning experience. They enjoyed observing, touching, and learning about different sea animals, discovering where they live, how they survive, and the important role they play in our marine ecosystem.

Throughout the session, the children asked thoughtful questions, shared their ideas, and eagerly participated in discussions about ocean life and the importance of protecting our beaches and waterways. Experiences like this help foster curiosity, encourage respect for the natural world, and deepen children's understanding of the environment around them.

It was wonderful to see the children's excitement as they explored the incredible world beneath the sea. Thank you to Seaweed Sally and Southern Ocean Education for providing such an engaging, educational, and memorable experience for our children. 🐙🦀🌊💙

Just a friendly reminder that next week is Pyjama Week!

Children are invited to come to childcare wearing their favourite pyjamas as we help raise money to support children living in foster care.

We kindly ask families to bring along a gold coin donation. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference

🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week❤️💛🖤

Our children enjoyed a range of activities as we celebrated NAIDOC Week and learned about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through play and exploration.

👶 Nursery explored Australian animals and enjoyed a sensory tray using the five NAIDOC colours, exploring different textures with spoons.

🧸 Toddlers explored coloured pasta through sensory play and learned about Australian animals through a small world play experience with open ended resources and natural materials.

🌿 Junior Toddlers used playdough with strawberry gum leaves, created their own Aboriginal flags, and explored Australian animals.

🎨 Pre Kinder painted their own Aboriginal flags as the way they see it, watched a Play School episode about the Acknowledgement of Country, and created Aboriginal symbols in the sand.

🌱 Kinder explored storytelling using natural resources, Indigenous dolls, and Australian animals. They also enjoyed clay play with natural materials and explored Aboriginal symbols through a sand invitation.

🌿 Outdoor experiences included mud painting with Aboriginal inspired stencils and painting using natural resources using aboriginal colours and a sensory experience with natural and loose parts and Australian animals where children created habitats for the animals which fostered conversations about caring for Country and respecting the natural environment.

These experiences encouraged the children to learn through play, creativity, and exploration while developing their curiosity and an appreciation for Australia's First Nations peoples, cultures, and connection to Country. 🖤💛❤️
